@GamemasterHoward It turns out it doesn't matter, because this is just a picture of Billy posing in front of someone's machine as a promo shot. it's not his machine at all. Jobst is just being deranged.
@AstraeaV No it's not. You don't even know what's going on. The cheating allegation came from a VHS tape of a game of Donkey Kong which showed a bootup sequence that rarely occurs exactly that way on real hardware but always occurs that way on emulation. Mitchell produced the original engineer who designed the hardware who confirmed that yes, the bootup order of the video CAN come up that way (which is why it DOES on the emulation) because that sequence is based on, mostly, the ambient temperature and age of the components involved.
That's why Guiness restored his records, because the person who actually made the machine testified on his behalf. He has, since then, proven multiple times in person on any piece of hardware presented to him that he can do this.
@GamemasterHoward Yes, it would make the game harder as diagonal input confuses the code and makes Mario immediately stop moving. That's how we know it's just a cosmetic thing. They ain't exactly making new DK machines and sometimes things break.
@SpacedDuck He has, repeatedly. You can watch it on his Twitch right now. You can watch it on YouTube, right now. The reason Mitchell is suing Jobst is... well this right here. Jobst keeps flailing trying to "prove" Mitchell can't do what he has demonstrated time and time again. Since Donkey Kong is a significant part of his public money making persona, Jobst is defaming him.

@Azuris You can see video of him doing exactly that right here: https://www.twitch.tv/billy_mitchell/v/663121050?sr=a&t=13s
That's why he is suing Jobst, because Jobst is leading people to believe Mitchell cannot do what he is most famous for doing.

@AstraeaV I mean... you can search YouTube and Twitch right now and see video of him doing it in front of folks, repeatedly.
