@Pak-Man this is it: digital has no "value impact". I would never buy a physical book to bring home and put on my shelf never to read. My kindle though? Loads of cheap digital books I might never download to the device to actually read, and that's fine
"The alternative seems to be just walking away from playing modern video games"
I like that comment but it's not as stark as that. I might keep up with digital only "throw-away" gems (Crow Country being my most recent example), but the direction modern "run for a long time and jump/slash/pickup/" games have gone, I'm finding myself sat at my Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox og/Xbox 360 station far more than I sit at my PS5.
And so I expect the same with switch 2. Doubt I'll be upgrading from my switch lite until switch 2 lite, and only if there's enough physical proper games to warrant it. All the other digital throw-aways will be available on the PS5 for 95% of the time

Re: Talking Point: Everyone Else Is Busy Revealing Switch 2 - What Gives, Nintendo?
Maybe the reveal won't be the console, it will be Mario in Unreal 5.
And oh by the way, you need the new console to play it
