I seriously hope no one bids on this since this auction has already been called out by thousands of hardcore zelda fans since the seller put false/incorrect information about the prototype. I find it funny that the seller thinks that no one would notice his false auction but clearly the seller has no idea how HUGE and amazing the zelda fan base is in this world.
I used to play the hell out of this game and loved it. However, the real reason why I played the hell out of this game was because there was no games out lol. Even though only 22 virtual boy games were released, only 14 of them made it to north america lol. Despite all this, I still wish and hope for Nintendo to release the virtual boy games on the Wii U or 3DS eshop. Actually, the 3DS is a no brainer because the players has the ability to turn the 3D on/off on their Nintendo 3DS's! I am really curious to see how the virtual boy games look on the Nintendo 3DS with the 3D turn all the way up on the highest setting.
@Kobeskillz Well it depends, if I were you I would go on youtube and watch the NES Remix video so that you can see all 16 classic NES games that are included in the NES remix game. See if any of the 16 classic NES games are yer favorites or not, etc. Then after that, watch a 10-15 min Dr. Luigi video, especially all the game modes and online mode. Now if you were one of those Nintendo gamers that bought Dr Mario RX Online from the Wii Ware shop via Nintendo Wii, then YES I would buy Dr. Luigi because I clocked about 110 hours of Online fun via Dr Mario RX Online cause it was FUN!
Anyways, I own both BUT if you can only afford to pick one, I would more likely lean to the Dr Luigi game because it has online mode which equals endless replay value. On the other hand, NES Remix, once you unlock everything, there is not much to do except re-beat yer times? However there is an exploit that people are doing such as pausing the game and un-pausing to shave a few seconds off.
7 is just about right! I honestly believe $15 is a bargain because this is Nintendo were talking about here folks. Nintendo could of EASILY charged $19.99 or $29.99 who knows! I think for $14.99 there is a good amount of content and the fact that it has Online mode just sealed the deal. If it did NOT have online mode, then $14.99 would be a bit too high.
Event though I own all consoles and even the Vita, I have put WAY more hours on my 3DS XL than any other handheld/console. Nintendo is just absolutely amazing when it comes to the hand held department ever since I own my first original game boy. I seriously believe that if Nintendo decided to pull out of the console business. they will STILL be around because they will ALWAYS be that one company that you can trust when it comes to the hand held video games department. I nearly bought a 2DS until I realized that it was basically the 3DS without the 3D and without the ability to fold the hand held 2DS.
Thank you Damien for this review! I was waiting for yer review since I wasn't too sure if I should buy this or not but I am glad to see that Sega is REALLY doing a good job with these classic re-releases lately! I wish Nintendo would do this with several of their Virtual Console games and now I am off to download galaxy force 2 thanks to Damien!
Great review and all but I just can't fork out $50 bucks for this since this game was already free for PS Plus members on the PS3 which was an excellent game. However, I might pick up the Wii U version if it ever drops around the $15-$20 price one via amazon in the future.
@pikasaiyan98 THAT'S WHAT I'M HOPING!!! I got an email back from the Nintendo customer service rep yesterday and even they had no clue when the cradle goes live. If it doesn't go live at midnight then I have a feeling it will go live at 9am since that is when the e-shop stores are updated with new games on the Wii U / 3DS for me.
This looks fantastic! Thank you for posting this because I never knew about the book being funded through kickstarter. I would of backed that project if I knew about it but that doesn't matter anymore since the book is available and I am buying it right now! I am obsess with gaming books since I have quite a large collection since I LOVE reading the history of gaming. Even though I grew up with american games, I still like to read up about gaming history in other countries and this book looks like another winner for sure. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive!
@Vermithrax I agree with you and I should be supporting this but everytime Dyack name is mentioned, I just get very disappointed. I honestly and seriously believe that he needs to just stop being the marketing guy or whatever. He should just remain working/offscreen and keep quiet because he is still getting heat for what he has done in the past. Someone else with a better reputation and more experience with the marketing/media/press/etc should take over because I bet the project would get more support/money raised. That is just my view and I think it would be the best way to help get more supporters/funding/etc
@Peach64 Exactly! I used to be ok with this whole project but since Dyack has been hogging so much of the spotlight that he needs to just shut up and go back to doing whatever he is doing to make the game. Someone else without a bad reputation and doesn't spread lies needs to take over the media/press stuff for Shadows of Eternals. I just can't trust Dyack after he lied about taking a huge amount of money from another company and not using for the project that the money was intended for, that just shows how shady Dyack really is. After the kickstarter ends for the 2nd time, I bet they will relaunch it again and ask for $500,000. First they wanted over a million, then they wanted $750,000, etc. I just can't trust someone who is lying about how much money they need to make the game and no matter what, Dyack just comes up with an excuse for everything.
Great review! The only reasons why Ducktales Remastered is getting some negative reviews by other "Game Journalists" is because, A: The game has no Violence B: Not a Sports game C: The game is "Too Hard" D: Not a first person shooter game
sigh I would get this game but for $4.99? No thanks! This game should of been 30 cents as part of the digital promotion thing. Also, if anyone that bought this game for the original Wii should be able to download it on the Wii U for free or a VERY small price like 30-99 cents, etc. As someone else stated in the comments, it is a shame this game does not have online leaderboards. I bet more people would pick up this game if Nintendo would bother to actually add some type of online leaderboard or perhaps unlock music/gallery/etc. I just don;t understand! The Wii U virtual console could be so much better and yes I know earthbound is released but come on Nintendo, stop re-releasing games that were already released on the original Wii. If anything, I think ALL of the virtual console games from the Wii Ware Virtual Shop should be available on the Wii U Eshop right off the bat.
I just wish the e-shop had a different user interface because the one it has now it reminds me of the 3DS E-shop and I think it's not very good with many useless "top this" or "top that" games, etc. I kind of wish it was like the PSN store a bit but then again that's just me. The Wii Shop for the Nintendo Wii was MUCH worse and extremely lazy but hopefully Nintendo can introduce a whole new look for the E-shop sometime in the future. Honestly, I think the e-shop is going to be filled with GREAT amazing games pretty soon since alot of indie games are supporting the e-shop for this fall and 2014 as well. I know the Nintendo Wii U is still technically new and was just released not to long ago but eventually the store will fill up with a bunch of games
I have not bought an EA sports game since Madden 1997 for the playstation 1 and that is the last time I will buy an EA sports related game because they bring absolutely NOTHING new to the table. It's the same game every year except for a slight roster change and maybe a minor user interface menu. Besides, EA will come crawling back if the Wii U sales pick up after more games are released
Sure this Nintendo Direct may not be what everyone wanted but the way I see it is this, at least Nintendo Fans are getting SOMETHING rather than nothing. Look at Sony and Micro$oft for example, do they ever release or hold something similar like Nintendo Direct? Absolutely NOT! Unless they are announcing a new system or some convention then yeah they release some video to hype the crowd but other than that they never do anything to keep the fans in the news or up to date. I always enjoy watching Nintendo Direct on my 3DS or Nintendo Wii U because I feel like Nintendo is allowing the fans to enter the Nintendo Home and learn about interesting stuff that Nintendo is working on or whatnot. Even the videos where some Developer is talking for 5-10 mins are interesting too because most companies like Sony and Micro$oft they have that policy where employees or developers are not allowed to talk about the games or current state of the system at all unless they get permission. So the next time Nintendo does another Nintendo Direct I will be there to watch it on the 3DS or Wii U because it's fun and interesting! It almost feels like we are a part of a secret Nintendo Fun Club in some ways!
this app allows you to send the postcards to your facebook but you can't even send it to another dsi or 3ds? It does look fun for 200 but no thank you, fail.
LOVE THIS GAME! This is quite possibly the best DSI Ware game to date, so much better to play on the DSi cause I can play it on the can or when I'm about to go to sleep. I've already played this version longer than the Wii Ware version since I'm always on the go.
