Who to believe? Rottentomatoes that rounded up all the reviews and have rated this the best video game movie ever made and also one of the best films of 2024 or a user on Nintendolife who hasn't even seen the film and just comes on Sonic articles to say how awful the series is....choices.

Nintendolife users are taking longer.

Only Sonic could have one of the highest rated films of the year and yet still have Nintendolife be so hostile towards the series.

Nice opinion but heavily disagree. The Mario movie had so many more issues than both of the Sonic films for me and was a really average film.

Really enjoyed my time with this on PC, love Max Caulfield so much.

Sonic uses casino themed worlds because they are some of the most popular but don't act like they're in every single game because they're not.

I wouldn't be surprised if many people here are still salty that SEGA ended Nintendo's monopoly on the industry and have nothing but biased hate in their hearts.

The crap like "all 3D Sonic is bad, stick to 2D" will never not be ridiculous.

Sonic 06 was a victim of a terrible development hell that stupidly got SEGA to over course correct and throw out stuff that did work with 3D Sonic games. It could absolutely be a good game (as proven by the excellent Project 06), just rework the story a bit because it's mostly a cool idea but that awful romance needs to be reworked to a friendship at most.

After how fun Sonic x Shadow Generations was, I'm hopeful that they could finally make 06 a good game.
