While perhaps we are a bit responsible for this, it's rather like talking in a library and having someone come up and punch you in the gut. It's an overreaction.
The point of trading in games was so you could get new ones. It's not really pleasant having someone dictate whether or not you can erase a saved file. a little luxury we take for granted.
I don't think this strategy will be widely popular down the line though. Capcom is taking a lot of heat for this and I don't think this "Stand" against second hand sales will do any good for their cause.
Not my biggest concern at the moment. It puzzles me more than anything. Remember this isn't some deep game where you feel good after achieving something that was hard. It's meant to be played in short burts and obviously with other people. In a game like this, it'd be pretty convient to have all of the stuff right off the bat. This isn't some 40+ hour RPG, it's a frantic shooter. The replay value is the same, you just miss some of the begining bits.
This shouldn't be some deciding factor of whether you buy it or not. merely something to shrug your shoulders about.
I think the problem with RTS games on the DS is that they aren't very hard. After all, RTS works best with a mouse and keyboard but I would think it wouldn't be too hard to make good controls given the stylus and touchscreen. All of the entries I've seen for RTS on this system are always "beginner friendly" which is a bit of a problem for people that are deep into the genre. I have a hard time finding a challenging one.
Anyway I'm afraid I'll have to hold my points and wait until a more appealing game comes along.
I don't mind it. At first I thought it would be a bit hectic in more fast paced games, but this is only one kind of controller. There's a second one too, which I'll be using for games that require a faster reaction (I.E. fps's)

Diablo wasn't an MMO in today's sense. Sort of a get a few friends to connect to your dungeon and kill things, type game.
It left most of what to do up to the player. Open ended games, done right can be very enjoyable for hours.
