@KateGray I don't even want to post my opinionated list...
It's been a while since a gaming article has interested me so - this was well-produced and very engaging... I hope you get your due recognition. Certainly have my respect!
@Crimson_Ridley An admirable perspective. I think it's pretty terrible what has happened to you in life so far, but (and I'm sure you know this), there are countless blessings that hold against the tragic events in our lives. I would agree - 90% of my first play through of Dark Souls mainly consists of stress, intense focus, and overwhelming defeat. But that other 10%, where I feel masterful, wiser, and smarter, is a satisfaction that compares to little else. It's such a parallel to life, really. We keep pressing on for a reason (me personally, because I believe in a Savior), and those moments of truth encourage progression and iron will. Patience, self-discipline, and determination are qualities in life that I've improved upon. These games really are inspiring.
@BeautyandtheBeer Exactly! Those were my immediate thoughts once GameFreak gave their reason behind including a limited Pokedex in Sword and Shield at E3. Why not just copy and paste the rest of the mons into the post-game, and if you're concerned about the competitive scene, rotate usable Pokemon every other month? Especially now that a competitive team is even more easily cartable in these games, I'd love to be using some of my Pokemon I've had since Diamond and Pearl right now - and since there would be a rotation, some of them might even be worth a spot on my team!
The other thing they could have done is just slightly nerf mons like Landorus-T and Garchomp and Ferrothorn and such. I mean, would it take that much time to bring slightly more balance to the game? I'm not actually sure, just spitballing.🧙🏻♂️
@AlexSora89 Quite a long read... but I agree with everything, unfortunately. 100%. Hit the nail on the head and only mentioned a handful of problems I have with Sword and Shield. I desperately wanted to like these games - I've been a Pokemon fan for 10 years now. But I think we can hold GameFreak to standards that are a bit higher... right? Especially now that they've been making games since since 1996. And the fact that they hold my childhood in their hands...
Here's my thing - Why are people saying that Nintendo's line-up for 2019 looks crappy? Even without a Direct in the coming days, it looks vastly better than 2018. Correct me if I'm wrong, but last year consisted of Mario Tennis: Aces, Super Mario Party, Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, and Smash Bros. Ultimate. Granted, that last one was a major system seller, but look at what we potentially have for 2019!
Animal Crossing
Luigi's Mansion
Fire Emblem
Yoshi's Crafted World
Daemon X Machina
Pokemon
I might have forgotten one or two . Mind you, these are brand new games. This doesn't even mention the ports likely to make it to the Switch this year (Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101). Plus, there're rumours of at least one unannounced game that would "delight fans."
I could be wrong on this - maybe I'm completely blanking on the release dates, or I'm forgetting what all released last year. But these are the big name releases I can remember. So, do you all really think this year should make Nintendo fans (even stock holders) all that worried?

Re: Random: Pokémon Whips Were Once Considered, But Game Freak Thought It Was "Too Cruel"
As if the aspect of capturing and battling Pokemon wasn't already morally suggestive
Re: Nintendo Uploads New Big Brain Academy Switch Overview Trailer
Oh yeah. This is big brain time.

Tortimer.
I am pleased.
Re: Former Nintendo Of America President Reveals His New Book
Surprised he had the time, what with him playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf, on his Nintendo 3DS.

Came for the Paper Mario, stayed for the Community reference.

Not gonna lie - I like the fake one better.

@Tyranexx Nice pic
Re: New Trailer For Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Turns Delayed Flights Into A Win
This game looks like it's a better Mario Party than Super Mario Party. 🙄
Re: Pokémon Direct Officially Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th February
If they do announce multiple games, I really hope we're not getting Let's go Piplup and Let's Go Bidoof. Remake Gen 4 the RIGHT way.
Re: Talking Point: Is A Nintendo Direct Really On The Way?
@Symbiote_C that 2019 list came up screwy. Sorry. -_-
