I wish for a company to release a game that out-pokemons Pokémon, so that GameFreak actually has to try harder to stay relevant. At the rate this is going, they will just continue to release low effort / safe Pokémon games. They earn so much money with each entry, why can't they go and invest some more of that to create better games. The answer is, they don't need to, as enough people buy their stuff anyway
I'm not the target audience... Games having great lore to me is but another way to saying the Devs couldn't be bothered to give a game a proper story, so they externalize it, for the hardcore fans to chew on (Magic the Gathering would be included in this assumption) Nice that it turned out well, but I just don't have the time and nerves to get into the lore and auxiliary media the marketing wants me to consume, even if it's supposedly top notch. Also one of the reasons I never grew fond of star wars with all its tie in novels, comics, games, series and whatever
It was perfect because it looked different. What he said about them failing in differentiating on costumer focus is on point though.
(Edit: should not have tried to be edgy, even if some of the resulting games were quite good)
@larryisaman The game is a low effort remake. It's still Pokémon and I don't dislike the Chibi, but it could have looked much better, even in Chibi style. Not it looks like Nexomon ripoff, which in turn is but a mobile game... The score is fair in my opinion.
@Ralizah You're right. Pokémon is marketed towards children. I love it and looking forward to Arceus, but it is what it is. If you want Pokémon for "Adults" go SMT5.
They will sell tons as always, but I think they could have invested a lot more and made this special (and included Platinum stuff). I'm not calling it lazy, but I think they just went and did the bare minimum, both graphic and content wise. Sad to see the greed for money so obviously. Re: Talking Point: 5 Reasons That Nintendo Switch Is Still A Hot Product
Need Duck Hunt on switch.
Best with new Nintendo Blaster and with a Point Blank like RPG mode

If it rates well I might even be willing to pay full price for it...
