Re: Valve Responds To 'Switch Vs Steam Deck' Comparisons, Insists It's "Going After" A Different Audience

I do find the 30fps comments interesting. You do realize some of the Switches best games play at 30fps. Breath of the Wild often drops well below 30fps. Portable systems have to make sacrifices. They are smaller devices. Do I really have to explain this?
Personally for me I don't even care about the 30fps. I primarily use the Switch and Steam as a portable indie device. I know it's blasphemous to say this here but I think most Nintendo games are highly overrated .
Knowing that I can buy indie games much cheaper on Steam than any Nintendo sale, I see myself selling my Switch . I did get a few good years out of it though.

While owning a Switch and being part of the beta experience for Stadia, I can honestly say I see huge potential here. You will often hear the word seamless used when describing Stadia. It's quite accurate. I would play Assassin's Creed on my gaming PC with a 300mps connection then go to work (while on my break) and have the exact same experience. That's with a 50mps connection .
Turn back the calender 10 to 15 years ago and people were saying the exact same things about Steam and online gaming
"No one will download games because the majority of the population has horrible internet" People overwhelmingly download games rather than buy a physical copy today.
Fanboy all you like, this is the future of gaming . You will be looking back 15 years from now and roll your eyes at the comments you are making today.
