That's a feature now? Anyway, I enjoyed looking at the funny style of the game and it looks like they added quite a bit from the free online original. I still don't know if it merits a purchase though.
I see it for 50 dollars at the least on Ebay. It might be one of the games I buy on the VC instead of a cartridge copy due to the hassle of buying both the expensive cart and a converter to play it on an American Genesis.
You guys are so impatient. If you really want a game go buy a physical cartridge copy. Considering I just got my Wii 2 days ago I can finally look into the games I don't care enough to actually buy a cartridge for but am still interested in.
The only problem is, this service will pretty much be indefinitely inferior to Sony's and Microsoft's networks simply because developers are going to only have so much room to make a game. Downloading roms from the VC onto the Wii is one thing, but downloading a custom game with presumably modern graphics and play will be a very large chunk of memory (well, for a 512 megabyte hard drive). Until Nintendo "fixes" (yes I use the word fix here because to have so little memory these days in a console is crazy) the memory problem then this won't be able to compare with the competition. We will get more memory or teeny games. Should be nice to see what people can come up with though.
Of course I rank this highly in my collection of Super Nintendo games. Though it is trumped by Kirby Superstar, it had its own appeal. Graphics were colorful and portrayed the picture book style nicely. Yes, this one has Co-op as well, but it seems a little flushed out compared to Superstar. Maybe it's because only one player can have an animal companion and there is only one move per power (multiply that by what was it? 5 animals, each different powers for every power). I did like the notion of objectives in each level to make a specific character happy. Like little puzzles I suppose. Anyway, if you like Kirby and have 800 points, give it a spin.
Still without a Wii console of my own, I recently ordered this game off ebay. Having never played it yet playing the other installments (all top notch) I can't wait for this to ship.
I recently purchased this game off Ebay (an original cartridge copy of course) along with Donkey Kong Country and I am now patiently awaiting its arrival.

Bad Damo, bad! Apologize to Earthbound and worship it blindly like everybody else.

Lack of Earthbound disappoints.

This looks great. I should go find a copy.
Re: Kirby's Dream Land 3
Yes, yes he can. This is in response to Yoshi175's question.

Re: Super Turrican 2
This looks great. And that title screen is pretty spectacular for 16 bit don't you think? Wouldn't you know it? Low price on Amazon too.
Re: Top 10 platform games we want to come to the Virtual Console
Great to see you put my favorite CO-OP game of all time at the very top of the list. Great read, make more.
