Sony and Nintendo didn't need to put a lot of money in marketing this quarter thanks to the Xbox One reveal. Microsoft selling more Wii U's now than Nintendo did at launch!

This means no future Mass Effect games either.

This is just pure failure of Nintendo. Stick a fork in Nintendo because they are done. They have nothing to give fans for the remainder of 2013. They had until E3 to give fans something of value and hope but because of their poor decisions with the Wii U launch it will cost many people their jobs.

Maybe probably is like saying no. WB is just not saying no today. We can save that for a future disappointment article.

This is happening because the Wii u is not selling like 3rd party developers want it to. So why would any developer continue to support the Wii U ? Zelda U is the last hope for the Wii U, heck even if that sells that still might not be enough. Nintendo should drop home console support and just continue to support the 3DS and future mobile devices.

@LDXD No. All I am saying is that this title should be a Wii U exclusive. Not having it as an exclusive is a problem.

Don't blame EA because nobody is buying these games for the WII U. EA is in the business of making money hence why Ubisoft took Rayman away as an exclusive, they want to make money too. Nintendo has done nothing to convince publishers that people will be buying a Wii U anytime soon.

This is not a Wii U exclusive so that is a huge fail right there. The majority will buy it for the PC.

@WaveBoy Exactly what I am talking about. Nintendo has no plans to grow up and give gamers something better. They are content with milking Mario and Zelda until their arms fall off. How pathetic is that ? When I was a kid I loved those games but like everyone else you grow up and move on to better things because you want more out of gaming than just adventure and platform games. I gave Nintendo another shot and they failed miserably. If anything I should have bought a 3DS.

@HeatBombastic While that isn't horrible it isn't quite good enough apparently. There is no dlc support from hardly any of its 3rd party games which is quite disappointing. While Mario is still fun to play there comes a point in time where you just grow up and need more out of gaming.

More Mario milkage to desperately try to stop the Wii U bleeding. Doubt this will do any good because the Mario U game that was in the launch window didn't sell that well either. What makes Nintendo think this will fair any better ? This just justifies more that everyone else has grown up except for Nintendo. Not a hater at all. Infact I bought a Wii U because I bought into the idea of the gamepad on how games it would change how games would be played. The problem is that Nintendo gave us average games at best hence why the Wii U is not selling. I wish them luck but like many other thousands of gamers we will be turning in our Wii U for something more promising very soon.

Who cares because there is barely 2500 players online who actually play it on the Wii U.

Well considering how low the sales for Black Ops 2 was for the Wii U I do not blame them for not putting it on the console.

Nobody is confused. The Wii U just has no games people want to go out and buy a Wii U. Why do people keep on disguising this as people being confused. Do you really think gamers are that stupid ?

Doesn't matter how powerful the Wii U is. Without great games the console will never sell. There isn't a game this year that is going to make people go out and buy a Wii U. By that time noone will care about the Wii U because the PS4 and Nextbox will be more powerful and have better games that people will want to play. Everyone has grown up except for Nintendo.

Metroid or Zelda MMO. Make it happen!

You need to be in the spotlight, front stage and center! Nintendo still hasn't figured it out... This is laughable because everyone and their grandma knows what Nintendo has to do except Nintendo.

Nothing really new but hey Nintendo where are all the good games that people will want to go out a buy a Wii U ? That is the biggest problem.

If you do not understand what a Wii U is by now you never will. People know what a Wii U is they just aren't buying one because there is no good system seller titles on it. People are just making excuses for the Wii U failures so far by saying that people are confused. Do you actually think gamers are that stupid ? I think not.

Still not buying it for 60 bucks on the e-shop. I would like to see the original on the Wii U as well.

@JSuede Look at it this way. Thief and The Last of US on the PS 4 is going to outsell everything Nintendo has to offer in the next 2-3 years. The ever great Super Mario didn't even sell well. That should tell you something right there! Your argument is pointless. So what is Nintendo going to do keep releasing kiddie platform games ? Nintendo needs a small miracle to keep up with what is going to happen soon.

The sad this is that I will miss the Wii U gamepad once I trade it in for a PS4 or new Xbox but in return I'll be getting great games that humans actually enjoy.

@Einherjar People say well there is so many shooters. Look it how there is a crap ton of platformers and adventure games that fail miserably ? Sorry but shooters and rpgs are the way to go. Everyone has grown up except for Nintendo.

Slower than hoped is actually being nice. If it wasn't for MH3 Ultimate doing well would anyone really care about the Wii U ? Well they better have a fantastic E3 and I mean fantasitc in the best way possible or else it is GG for Nintendo.

Now people understand why the Wii U is not selling so well. No top games = no Wii U sales. Now maybe this will make Nintendo understand that we need more than just Mario and Zelda ?

@LDXD They need to grow up and stop rehashing Mario and Zelda games. They need to make a franchise for mature crowd (21+). You know like try making a great fps franchise or a rpg that millions will keep playing forever like Halo and Uncharted. If Nintendo wants to be in the game then that is what they have to do. I love Mario and Zelda but seriously, time to grow up ! Perfect example right here, Sony's Thief and The Last of Us on the PS4 is going to trounce, stomp on and head bash anything Nintendo is going to make this year and probably next year. The Wii was a great console with many games for everyone but Bleszinksy is right. Those were all games for the casuals who don't play enough during the week. They weren't meant for hardcore gamers. I think he is saying that Nintendo needs to grow up some here. They need more mature gamers that players want to play everyday and keep playing for years to come. I keep saying this often. Just look at games like Halo and Uncharted. Players can't get enough of those games. Nintendo has no games like that. Nintendo needs to grow up and roll with the times.

Yeah but the author is forgetting that the Wii U has no real system sellers on their console. Mario wasn't enough and Zelda U won't be here until 2014. I guarantee you that people will go out and buy a $500 console plus sub model if you give them great games. The Last of Us and Theif will dominate anything that Nintendo has planned for this year. What great games does Nintendo have ? It isn't just about selling your console cheaper than the others.

I hope Nintendo has big game announcements for fans at E3 and I don't mean more platfomers and adventure games. If not then it is GG for Nintendo no matter how cool the gamepad controller is.
