I know these pitches are jokes, but ever since the Castlevania series debuted I've wanted to see a moody, atmospheric, dialogue-free Metroid animated series that feels like something between aforementioned Castlevania and Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal.
I don't know if it "got me through" a tough time as much as I wound up just letting Paper Mario: The Origami King absorb a lot of the depression and rage I was feeling in July 2020. It came out exactly a month after my cat passed away and my roommate who I couldn't stand was out of town, so I binged that game over the course of a week and made no effort not to scream at the TV every time I found myself completely out of patience with those goddamn discs.
I thought it was interesting that he found fishing one of the most challenging things to do as a blind person in ACNH, because I found it easier to fish if I look away from the screen! For me, watching the fish leads to false starts and I often accidentally pull the rod too early, whereas if I only listen for the bobber to dunk, and its accompanying haptic feedback, I have a way better batting average.
Ever since the Castlevania series happened I've wanted to see a kickass, atmospheric animated Metroid series with no dialogue save for found footage/audio.
I'm cool with the chibi style in of itself, but I wish they stepped up the lighting and textures. It doesn't have to be rendered exactly like Link's Awakening, but they're still asking to be endlessly compared to Link's Awakening
Been on and off with this game since I bought it on release day; while I can get used to its difficulty it's harder to get past the things that one just assumes a decent developer wouldn't forget? There's no map or compass, which besides being frustrating in a game with this much exploring and backtracking, feels outright absentminded when an early NPC uses cardinal directions. More importantly, last time I played, I put it down after I accidentally sold several gems despite having already reached my wallet's limit. I didn't even know my wallet had a limit until it was too late, and now I've essentially thrown away gems I worked to collect because the game allowed me to keep selling them after I couldn't take any more ore in exchange.
@Strumpan Oops, guess I just had it in my head this whole time that Skyward Sword was a Wii U game, since it was between Twilight Princess and BotW. The way you describe it, it sounds fun enough, but I am not a fan of the visual style I've seen in clips.
@RainbowGazelle Oops, I just always had it in my head that Skyward Sword was on Wii U. So that's just extra funny to me then, that Wii U didn't really have a Zelda game to call its own (BotW is a Switch game and you can't tell me otherwise)
As someone who skipped Wii and Wii U, it tells me enough about Skyward Sword that there were 3 mainline Zelda games on this list, and none of them were Skyward Sword.

DK Country's Aquatic Ambience is so transcendently chill it inspired this brilliant satire piece https://hard-drive.net/man-tasked-with-making-score-for-a-monkey-riding-a-swordfish-underwater-creates-transcendent-piece-of-music/
