Re: Random: People Are Getting Pretty Worried About Splatoon 3

Sakiya

@thinkhector That would make zero sense both in the eyes of the company and the consumer. Those new to Splatoon with 3 may want to buy and experience 2 at some point, so taking away the online would cause people to stop buying 2 and cause the games revenue to drop by a lot.
Also, since Splatoon 1 still has an active online and is 7 years old, Splatoon 2 luckily isn't dying anytime soon.
(Also, I understand the joke, just pointing out the legit possibility of that)

Mario Maker too?!
Aw, that game was my absolute sh*t back when it was relevant. I loved uploading my stages and obtaining new costumes whenever I got a new Amino (I still do enjoy that).
As much as I'm going to miss it, it just makes sense. Mario Maker currently has a successful sequel that's currently making Nintendo some pretty good money. Plus, it costs money to keep supporting online services on older systems. The Wii U, as much as I love it, honestly isn't worth Nintendo's time and money anymore. The Wii U is just a little microscopic insect compared to the Switch's success, so it wouldn't make much sense for Nintendo to keep supporting it when most Wii U owners have Switch's now anyways.

Nevertheless, RIP Mario Maker's online. You will not be missed.

@NintendoArchive
Wii U games sell for normal prices on Amazon most of the time.
I've only ever heard good things about Yoshi's Wolly World. I never really played the original Yoshi's Island all that much, so perhaps an easier take first thing would be optimal anyways.

@NintendoArchive
I have many of those games already. I used to have Wind Waker HD but I have no idea what I did with it years ago, either way I have that and Twilight Princess on GC now so I'm not too interested.
Being honest, Game and Wario interests me, Yoshi's Wolly World kind of does too.

I gor my Wii U for Christmas 2013 when I was just 7. No lie, I've grown up with this thing and my 3DS, since I mostly grew up in that era (I was too young to remember but I did live a bit on the Wii during that era).
I still use my Wii U constantly, probably even more than my Switch. I play Smash 4 all time as I always have, and I'd like to get some more games for it soon as I haven't updated my Wii U library in a year or two. I use it for Wii games while at home as well. It's a really useful and amazing console that sadly Nintendo killed with their advertising and handling. Now they're acting like it's the Wii U's fault it bombed and not their own > : (

@infernogott
Honestly Nintendo Land needs a Switch sequel. It was an amazingly fun game with such fun mechanics. It's sad it sold poorly due to the Wii U being-well-the Wii U.
Nintendo Land reallt needs a new limelight.

Re: Nintendo Wants To Know Whether You Prefer 2D Or 3D Zelda Games

Sakiya

The 2D games are absolutely amazing, no doubt about it. Though personally I enjoy the 3D games way better. The 3D games are so interactive and adventurous. I feel like I'm really there with Link and that feeling can't be taken away. Link to the Past, Minish Cap, Link's Awakening, Four Swords, those are all amazing 2D Zelda games, but they just cannot beat Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask or especially Twilight Princess for me.

@HeavyArms55
New Leaf was such an amazing game. I know It's had around 7-8 years of spotlight now, but I'm still not really able to let it go for New Horizons. I love my town, villagers, and everything I've done with it and all that it does in general too much to just dump it for a deserted island like many people have at this point.
But despite that, New Horizons is still a great game that deserves it's sales. Plus, it's not very surprising considering how viral the game is. Most people have seen refrences to it at least in one place at this point. Though mark my words, it'll never beat MKDeluxe XD

Re: Random: Sakurai Didn't Appreciate The "Rough" Comments During TGS, So He Decided To Turn Them Off

Sakiya

It's honestly really sad how people never think on what they say. If there's a slight opening to harass someone online, they'd do it without a second thought. Then they make themselves look like idiots after realizing they said the wrong thing for the wrong reason. It's something that constantly repeats online and it always will.
Take the Fire Emblem reps in Smash as an example. Truthfully, I'm almost certain 50 out of 100% of the FE reps were only added in for advertising purposes. Corrin was added to advertise Fates, Byleth was added to advertise Three Houses, hell even Roy was added just to advertise Binding/Blazing Blade. Thing is, hardly any of that was Sakurai's fault. Nintendo TOLD him to add those characters for advertising's sakes, and Sakurai had no say in that. Yet people instantly assumed Sakurai was the one at fault for tainting the roster with too much Fire Emblem, therefore they go off and harass the poor man for it.
Listen, I've seen things talking about the conditions he puts himself under for his games and their communities, ESPECIALLY Smash Bros. It's crazy and shows just how dedicated he is, yet for people to just go and harass him for false reasons? Yeah, undeserved and idiotic. It perfectly shows just how stupid and self-centered people are these days.
