People are paying too much attention to internet speculations and rumors recently.
It´s pretty obvious that all this talk around the discontinuing of certain Amiibos and CG Controllers/adapters was spread by retailers and online shops in order to justify their criminal prices for the remaining pieces. It doesn´t make any sense, from a business standpoint, to discontinue such high successfull products in such short time, Nintetndo can´t be that dumb.
Simply put, the high demand caused those items to fly off the shelves very fast and Nintendo isn´t able to supply retailers in a short time. They´ll eventually bring new supply of those items, as they officially already stated. The same thing happened to Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors and now they can be found easily.
Let´s stop to give credit to so many rumors and guesses from dubious sources. I´m sure that when the holiday season ends we will find Amiibos easily everywhere
