Exactly, money talks and if people support everything Team Cherry is doing it will help show what gamers value. Whether it has any impact I don’t know but Team Cherry have something special. I loved Hollowknight and will definitely be getting Silksong.
It’s obvious from these photos that Silksong is an absolute labour of love for TeamCherry and they want it to be as close to their vision for it as possible. I guess they first announced planning for it to be something closer to an dlc and it became something much larger as it progressed. I’m such a huge fan of Hollowknight, you can feel the passion from the creators in every aspect of the game and as frustrating it’s been waiting and waiting for Silksong, the wait I’m sure will be worth it. I’ve been regularly checking for updates the last two years in case anything got announced, I guess they just want to wait and announce it when they are ready!
I remember around the early 2000’s when I was in my early teens most towns had at least one game and a gamestation and if you were in to videogames at the time they were a magical place to be. Both stores were packed to the brim with new and preowned games and official game guides and merch. I suppose the closest best thing we have still to that in the UK is CEX which I go in a lot. Admittedly they can charge a lot for rarer older items but I’m thankful we still have a physical game store we can visit.
