@BezBot Sorry if i sounded harsh. I know what you mean, but the switch is more comparable to personal devices like smartphones, tablets and 3DS'es. Even though it's also a console. And households tend to buy more than 1 of these devices, plus, most electronics bought are even more expensive then the $299 price tag.
@BezBot You are wrong. Theres 2 switches here in my apartment for me and my brother. And a friend of mine has 2 switches he shares with his wife and kids. There are stories everywhere where families buy more than 1 system.
@JaxonH The 3DS is capable of near 360/9s3 level graphics. Just look at the old Resident Evil Revelations game. Unless your talking about emulator/homebrew hacks on the machine. Then i shall keep my mouth closed.
I think third party support will be fine. People asking for GTAV, BF and COD doesn't really think this through. It would be NO USE for Nintendo to try and get ports of months/year old games on the Switch. Same goes for games in the first quarter of 2017. Those games have already been sold on the PS4 and Xbone. BF1, Ass creed syndicate, COD etc. would sell like crap on the switch if they got ported now. Look to the future people. Late 2017-2018 will be exciting for Nintendo.
@Ricube Then you aren't paying attention. The Switch hype is amazing here in Scandinavia. And the UK got a 4-5 min. trailer at the same time the Super Bowl ad was uploaded.
@RedeadLink Why shouldn't we pay for online services on consoles ? People are working hard to maintain the servers and users, and why is it horrible for them to demand a tiny sum for their efforts ? 30$ a year is nothing.
@Spoony_Tech Well, theres a silver lining here. Thankfully, you don't have to install the retail games, which is why even a terrabyte is barely enough for my PS4 games. And you can use the SD card(s) you already own. I already have 2, 128GB cards. That will suffice for 2017.
@darkgamer001 Thankfully, it's been confirmed you can change the region of the Switch. If you change the region to Japan, you will get japanese voice acting and vice versa.
@Spoony_Tech SD cards are actually incredible convenient. Thats why i have an amazing library on my 3DS with a 64GB SD card. Yes, it's expensive, and 32gb storage is incredibly low, but i think Nintendo is ahead of the competition on this one.
You cand find 200gb cards for 50$ online, but these will all get cheaper real fast. Next year, i'll bet that you can get 256gb cards for 25-40$. These will all be easy to transport and use. Instead of bulky harddrive installations.
"Few games exemplify the 3DS' status as a haven for JRPGs as well as Square-Enix's Bravely Default. This epic adventure takes a plucky team of four heroes on a quest to revive a dying world, combining the airships-and-crystals feel of PlayStation-era Final Fantasy."
Really NL ?! Playstation-era FF ? I think you meant Nintendo-era, right ? Bravely default can be compared with FFIX ofc, but i would rather compare it to the classic formula made popular with FF I, II, III, IV, V and VI.
@Kellanved Even i can tell you that that's a false statement. The custom chip from nVidia is confirmed to use the same Pascal Arcitecture as their latest Geforce GTX 1000-line. Which happens to be maybe the most power efficient hardware om the planet right now. My new gtx 1070 is using less than a third of the power then my 5 year old 660ti card thank to this technology.

@darkgamer001 Their handheld devices was always region free until the 3DS. They haven't been "10 years behind the competition" like you claim.
