Re: Talking Point: The Steam Gaming Machines Are An Unconventional Challenge to the Wii U

Rei7

This thing is not cheap which needs an awesome PC rig to run. Who is going to put their noise and huge rig on the living room. I don't. I know there is going to be steam box and all which is probably gonna be small but will it run everything in ultra graphics? Nope. This will never effect or change anything IMO. It won't effect the Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and other consoles as it seems more than a product for die hard steam fans.

Re: Lifetime Sales for the 3DS Have Now Surpassed the Wii in Japan

Rei7

I am so glad about the 3DS. But i'm really not sure if Wii U could ever do something like this.. yet.. First party games seems alright but 3rd party games..not so much. For those who only plays on a single platform(i'm a multi-platformer though) it doesn't seems that Wii U will be a real option to them. People want to be able to play 3rd party games as well on it and Wii U has yet to provide that, so far I can only see Ubisoft doing quite well with it but the other big companies... i'm so sad

Re: Review: Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (3DS)

Rei7

Should I really try this game? I like Fire Emblem, Shin Megami Tensei, Persona and Final Fantasy and a lot of other RPG games. But i'm not really sure if I will love this one. Let me know what is unique about EO compared to Fire Emblem at least. I have a lot of mix feelings about this game.

Re: FIFA 14 on 3DS is Officially Just a Kit and Roster Update

Rei7

@MadAussieBloke You mean the Vita isn't getting any sales right?
Problem is all those games are pre-orders and has been shipped out already. In my country there is more Vita owners then 3DS, and used games and hardware has a better reselling price for the Vita then the 3DS.

Re: Shin'en: If Developers Can't Make Great Looking Games On Wii U, It's Their Own Fault

Rei7

@Discostew That is true about Wii U. It's very fast after the latest update, and i'm really loving it. It's pretty slow before and everything seems to be fine now. I wish they told us what the number was and hopefully people will be able to utilize the amount of RAM is has. So far I don't see them using it that much and pushing it to the limit, maybe Project X and the new Zelda tech demo but that is pretty much it.

The Wii U just needs better games I guess, with more Nintendo stuff. I bought it solely for Nintendo games and about 3rd party games, not much love from me as I have those on PS3 and PC. But having it isn't bad either considering it will definitely boost sales. So far I find a lot of 3rd parties abandoning it which is a shame. Only Ubisoft seems to be the one that is supporting it until now with so much love. So little love for Wii U, even I who owns it has mix feelings about it.

Re: Shin'en: If Developers Can't Make Great Looking Games On Wii U, It's Their Own Fault

Rei7

@Discostew Developers for PS4 however could get 1 additional GB of RAM from the 3.5 reserved, provided the OS has sufficient amount of it. Same goes to Wii U which uses 5-10% of the RAM for their OS. Do not forget about that. You know in future updates they will optimize it for a less usage of RAM. They always do at least for PS that is not sure about Xbox. The 8GB is a bit of too much anyway but it gives freedom for the developers to develop without that much limitation and the need to optimize and compress.

Re: Shin'en: If Developers Can't Make Great Looking Games On Wii U, It's Their Own Fault

Rei7

The problem is they can't make great looking games that looks as good as PS4 and the Xbox One. And he only compares it with the current-gen, look how this is not a next gen lol. Somehow I feel ridiculous seeing Nintendo fans saying this is next-gen. 2gb ram compared to 8gb ram for the truly next-gen, that is a lot of miles different. I have a Wii U too but it is certainly not next gen. Just saying.

Re: Talking Point: With Calls for Nintendo to Follow the Crowd, It Faces a Dilemma

Rei7

@Senario This is not a reason for being a multi-platformer. If money isn't really a problem you should pretty much own every single thing you want. I'm in it for the exclusive games. I have a high-end pc with everything able to go ultra and I have to say that if your budget is as low as a PS4 console you won't be getting a good graphic that is as good as PS4. PC Gaming is an investment and it will cost more to get a graphic as same as the PS4. PC master race is the bomb and owns every console but when it comes to exclusives games, not so much as all the games on PC is also available on the PS and Xbox.

I have a high-end PC, Wii U, 3DS, PS3, PS Vita and OUYA(for emulation) for this gen. And of course PS4 for next gen with their PS Vita TV. I shall embrace all the goodness of each exclusive games. I am not at all at a lost for owning everything.

When you are in a budget your point is good. But instead of the Wii U which pretty much doesn't have that much game libraries at the moment i'd switch it with the PS3 and a PC. Opinions are opinion in the end, to each his own.

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

Rei7

Can't believe all this negative comments.
This device is targeted for kids and those who don't use those 3D option.
Having more options is always good. Stick with your 3DS if you want 3D and stop complaining.
It's good to see Nintendo giving more cheaper options to enjoy playing the 3DS.

I personally like the design as it reminds me of those old and stylish looking Game Boy.

Re: Capcom Has No Plans For Street Fighter on Wii U Just Yet

Rei7

It sadden me to see the Wii U not having all this games which is already on other platforms. At least what Nintendo can do is encourage the 3rd party publisher to release it on the e-shop only without physical copies. That is the best option I know to encourage the 3rd party to be confident about the Wii U when they see that digital sales on Wii U aren't as bad as what they think it is now.

Re: Review: Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale (3DS eShop)

Rei7

I'm glad the right score was given for this review. I can't really call it a real game it's more story driven and a slice of life kinda anime to me then a game. I really liked it, and i'm glad that I bought it. Worth my 7.99usd, even though the game is just 3 hours long for me when the credits roll.

Re: Wii U Version Of Beyond Good & Evil 2 Looking Unlikely

Rei7

@element187 Well I just googled it. As much as I wanna agree with you the limitation of the amount of ram of the xbox and ps3 is the problem. I am a multi-platformer so it doesn't really matter to me which one is good or not. Some Nintendo games is 60fps but how realistic is the graphics compared to the new console on PS4. As much as I want the Wii U to succeed it isn't really that clear with most of the developers skipping the Wii U. The best graphic I saw on Wii U is Monalith Project X and that can't even beat the graphic that Killzone Shadowfall has which is using only 3GB of ram out of the 8GB that the PS4 has.

In the end, what really matters is the gameplay each console have. Graphics, fps rate should be secondary as long as the game has an awesome gameplay.

Re: Wii U Version Of Beyond Good & Evil 2 Looking Unlikely

Rei7

@element187 Yes I can name a lot of them.

Forza Motorsport 4
Rage
Mortal Kombat
Gran Turismo 5
Super Street Fighter IV
God of War III
Fight Night Round 4
Flower
WipEout HD
Soulcalibur IV
Ninja Gaiden II
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Devil May Cry 4
Burnout Paradise
Super Stardust HD

Just to name some...and not only 60FPS...but also 1080p.

Re: Talking Point: The Wii U's Next-Gen Challenge Starts to Take Shape

Rei7

I have a Wii U but i'm not quite sure how it could really be called next gen. The specs and everything are current gen and the only thing that makes it good would be the gamepad as a 2nd screen.. and then you could see the PS4 has Vita for that and Xbox One has Smartglass(phones and tablets) for that. So now...how unique is the Wii U besides the Nintendo Exclusives? I know i'm in the wrong place to say this but just how in the world are Nintendo going to win this? Against Xbox One maybe, but the PS4 maybe not.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For 17th May, Covering Summer Titles on Wii U and 3DS

Rei7

@Ryno There isn't much to look forward too. I'm keeping it and hopefully by next year we got all the games we wanted. I'm still thinking it has potential, I like Nintendo games btw. I have 11 3DS games and I love them all and bought every single Mario, Luigi and Zelda. It's just that there isn't much stuff on Wii U..... and Nintendo isn't announcing anything.... which is kinda sad..
