I personally think the review is too high. I picked this up the SNES cartridge recently and it definitely hasn't held up well over time. From the bit that I played, this game should be in the 4-5 range, at best...but that's only my opinion.
Considering what Miyamoto means to Nintendo, and gaming in general for that matter, I think he's actually underpaid...especially with how successful Nintendo has been lately.
This is one of my favorite multiplayer game of all-time! I've had countless nights staying up way too late with friends playing this game. It's got that "one more game" level of addiction that most games lack.
It is also (in my opinion) far superior to the Wii version. The Wii version added a bit too much complexity to a game that benefited greatly from it's pick-up-and-play simplicity.
