I simply cannot accept that now, in the year 2009, with all of the vast technological advancements that have been made in just about every area of life, that the music in a 15-year-old Super Nintendo game can't be changed. Call me crazy, but I think we've come further than that. Sorry Ninty, I'm not buying it. If they actually WANT to release it, they could, and hopefully will.

I too was wondering how long this game is compared to something like SMW or SMW2...not quite sure if it's worth it

Honestly, I'll probably download this game if it gets released, but I just can't help but be reminded of Superstar's superiority. And btw tatemon555, the fact that I'm not buying a ds has nothing to do with me being cheap (although admittedly, I am). I just don't care much for the ds, or most of its games (MK DS was good).

Ughh...shouldn't have gotten my hopes up I guess... Seriously though, ONE GAME! Thanks once again Nintendo, for boldly giving me the middle finger.

I thoroughly enjoyed the other mario games, but I never really got to play this one. Is it something worth buying?

If you've played SMW but not this one you may be a tad disappointed. I luckily played this one first, and was able to thoroughly appreciate both. Even if you have played World first though, definitely still worth the five bucks!

BTW does anyone know why they aren't releasing yoshi's island? I know it's been released on the GBA, but so was SMW...so that can't be the reason.

This game is freakin' awesome, but I can never decide whether this or Yoshi's Island is better....If only they would just release yoshi's island I could just get both...

I guess this game really isn't bad, but Superstar is just SO MUCH BETTER....I'm still not buying a ds though....

What ever happened to Nintendo releasing some of the GOOD NINTENDO GAMES (i.e.Yoshi's Island,Kirby Superstar, Earthbound,etc.)?! Those are some of the best games Nintendo has made, and they would certainly sell very well (especially Earthbound). Nintendo should at least give us a bunch of actual release dates, that way we would know what to expect, if anything at all. Why would it be bad business to get people excited about upcoming releases? Sometimes I just don't get Nintendo...

What the hell is up? This game would sell monster numbers, no question, so why don't they just release it already? I could never get a copy of the original, so I bought a wii thinking this release was a given. Now two years later, still no release. ughh.....

I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE GONNA RELEASE THIS CRAP INSTEAD OF SUPERSTAR! I know Superstar is sort of out for ds now, but I respect myself way too much to actually buy a ds. I don't even care that it's out for ds, they should still release the original for VC. It's definitely one of the 5 best SNES games ever ( the others: LttP, SM All-stars,SMRPG, Yoshi's Island), and as much as I have always had nothing but love for Nintendo, I'm starting to get a little pissed off after two years of waiting and still no Kirby Superstar or Yoshi's Island!!!

should i get this one or start with the first? this one sounds better, but I'm just not sure. I've never played any of these, but I love these old style platformers.

Ugh! When will they release some REALLY good games (i.e. Kirby Superstar, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Kart, Earthbound) ? C'mon I've been waiting like two freaking years!! At least they released SMRPG finally....but I'm still getting impatient...
