@Ras the motion controls feel more natural as you progress through the game but I definitely need to sit up n play. I felt like you did when I started the game but playing through a second time after a long hiatus they feel very good again and I'm shredding enemies.
@3Daniel I agree with you 150%! Ubisoft really hurt a lot of people looking forward to that game...I'm betting at least 25% of Wii U owners would have purchased this game so holding off selling about a million copies makes business sense how?....
Well Ubisoft you are a stranger to me now. It's gonna take more than AC4 for me to ever look in your direction again. I just traded AC3 for Sonic Racing...much better now that no Ubisoft titles disgrace my library. You really think you're going to compete and get better sales in September? Have you even seen what's going to be released at that time? Ubisoft just flushed the toilet they were floating in.
@Bankai Your logic is flawed. Something that can and will make money right now sitting in a room collecting dust will only hurt them. Exclusivity doesn't matter it's the fact that this game is finished and releasing for the platform it's ready on. They make the same amount per copy no matter what, so delaying wii u version only hurts nintendo. I see no way that Ubisoft can profit from spending all that money on development to wait over half a year for less return than you would see right now. Not to mention they are going to release near GTA V and probably a couple more great titles. Nintendo will be releasing WW HD in September too so kiss your Wii U sales goodbye...many more will buy Zelda especially after this useless delay.
Well Ubisoft... You delayed the Wii U version for what...to diminish it's sales. Eat a bowl of cereal you pieces of sugar I will buy no more of your software...please go have fun with yourselves.
Maybe they are working on a high-powered machine that will be able to use the gamepad again after Wii U or toward it's end. That would be really cool. Something to come along well before the end of PS4 or 720 that can out perform them, still play Wii U games, and be future ready. I don't care what it costs. Wii U can run unreal 4 engine and I think the gap is going to be much smaller between consoles this time than it was 6 years ago.
@GreenDream Aye, didn't look at the comments. The announced updates have me very curious. I'm wondering exactly what's going on that they plan to improve system performance in pieces. Either way I think it's a fascinating device and love playing it. Nintendo is always doing more with less...I can't wait to see what they do with more (developers working together).
@GreenDream I think some of those articles are a little dated. @triforce_73 Broken down quite simply a small fast vehicle can get point A to B faster but can only carry so much each trip like older cpu's/arcitectures based on raw clock speed. A larger vehicle may not travel as fast but can carry much more each time and complete the task faster overall like the Wii U architecture. They also built the CPU, GPU and memory on die meaning they can communicate and work together much faster than seperate components talking across a motherboard.
When games begin to take advantage of this incredibly efficient design all doubts of ability in this little box will wash away. You should see much better load times and larger, prettier textures. They didn't overdo the CPU because it can lead to faster breakdown of components and more heat. (YLOD or RROD lol) It is however plenty fast and capable when used properly while remaining cooler and hopefully living longer. I bought a Wii on day one that still works like it's brand new and I expect nothing less from Wii U. I love only having to buy a system once.
@LordLzGlad Hilarious and also true. Games will be shown in June that release before the end of the year...I'm betting on a 3ds Zelda title suprise. I also think that third party developers will come at E3 and show some new games. Games are coming...and plenty of system sellers. Bayonetta 2, Mario, WW HD, Mario Kart, possibly Xenoblade, I'm not worried.
Their original predictions were high and the market is tough right now. March should see a significant spike in hardware and software as income tax returns come and more people are back on track after the holidays. This happens every year the economy slows in Jan. and Feb. it just hit Nintendo more because the new console was out. Nothing was going to repeat the original Wii.
Most online reviews are also incredibly harsh imo. Nothings perfect at launch anymore and my Wii U turned on, played games, connected to Miiverse and was ready to go in less than an hour with the update. Anyone denying the dual screen experience either hasn't tried it or doesn't know how to use it. And as games are developed to take advantage of the hardware architecture the Wii U will turn heads and impress like many Wii games did even at 480P. By the end of 2013 Wii U will be on top.
Why do developers seem to think they must use the gamepad? There's a pro controller people! And just make the game transferable to that screen and I'm happy...unless something has changed I don't think a Tomb Raider game needs an extra interface. Do like ACIII and put the map/hud on it...problem solved!
