@Willo567 Yeah you'd think they'd wait until they announced the tariffs first.
I wasn't actually saying these prices had anything to do with these latest tariffs although they may have been factored in. I was just pointing out that everything is going to get more expensive now with these latest tariffs.
The US just announced a 24% tariff on everything from Japan, 32% on Taiwan, 25% on South Korea and 34% on everything from China so I guess we can expect the price to go up on everything.
@nin10doom Xbox only uses 50gb Blu-ray discs. Sony uses 100gb Ultra Blu-ray discs so they can fit the game on about 75% of the time and any additional download is just for bug fixes or game updates but games still work with just the disc.
Nintendo seems to be trying hard here to push people towards digital.
@Ulysses Are you talking about that mock up slide that was posted by Zuby tech that was claiming the price was $400? Because I'm pretty sure that was already confirmed as fake.
@Tyranexx Yeah but Stray was free on PS Plus day one so most people played it there. It was the most played PS Extra game of the year when it was added to the service and it held the crown as the game that gave PS Plus the biggest subscriber boost for a long time.
Glad it's getting some evergreen sales on Switch though.
@HeadPirate Dring just tweeted the UK sales were solid and 21% ahead of Rift Apart's sales and it's 2nd only behind Warhammer which is the highest selling 40k game ever in the UK.
@ArcticEcho It would be shocking if the Switch wasn't better in every way because it came out 6 years later. The Vita was arguably ahead of its time though so I'm not surprised people are comparing them but I also think Nintendo games are a better fit for handheld gaming so Sony shouldn't jump back into handhelds, at least anytime soon.
It will be interesting to see how this Xbox handheld performs, especially if it launches around the same time of the Switch 2, personally my money is on Nintendo dominating the handheld space as they usually do.

Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting
I prefer physical games and I would mainly want a Switch 2 just for Nintendo 1st party but £75 for physical copies is a no from me. I guess I'm out.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Priced At $449.99 For The Base Console
£400 is what I expected but the fact they are also increasing the price of 1st party games means I'm probably not going to even bother getting one.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
Shpeshal Nick is saying he's heard it's $449 for the console and $499 for the Mario Kart bundle.
If this is true I don't think it is going to sell as good as people think and good luck trying to charge £450 and £500 for it in the UK.
Even Japan will probably have an issue with this price.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
Glad it's bigger but if it's priced at more than £350 in the UK then I'm not buying it.
