I don’t understand the massive issue with this game key. The issue isn’t with the concept, it’s the fact that publishers will abuse it.
An example I used with a friend the other day, World of Warcraft, this type of game, what is the point of having data on a cartridge? This is the type of game it should be used for, one that constantly evolves, like most games nowadays with patches.
People have concerns about servers etc, but people can still downloads and play Wii games 20 years later
@Anti-Matter I don’t understand this massive issue with digital games. PC embraced this years ago and I’ve never looked back. If anything it reduces the price of the console as there’s less moving parts, also less to go wrong.
I understand people used to prefer physical games due to server concerns etc, but that’s becoming pointless now anyway due to full games not being on physical media and day one download etc.
I’ve personally got an Xbox Series X and actually haven’t played much on it this gen. Mainly due to having a PC and playing the games there, or via Cloud gaming.

You also haven’t see enough of Mario Kart to say I can’t compare with to GTA.
They’re doing a special direct especially for Mario Kart. I’m sure they’ve got more to show us.
Also, where has $90 come from? The MSRP of the physical copy is $80.
I’m not trying to justify the price point , but I’m also not going to moan about a game I don’t know much about yet. And especially compare it to a game we know NOTHING about
Also, I’m not saying I’m happy with paying £75 (I’m not I got it in the bundle), but I’m also not having a go when I have no idea what the full game actually contains. It could be the best game you’ve ever had the privilege of playing. You don’t know at this moment, and neither do I
@Yoshi3 we actually don't know a lot about the game yet. So to say £75 (for physical in the UK, less for digital, which all of the bundled copies are) is too high is bonkers. Let them do their Direct next week. If there's not enough for you there, then fine, moan about it all you like. GTA6 will launch with a higher price tag, but this will be fine to you cos "the budget is higher". Ridiculous take. And no, before you have a go, £75 is probably my highest entry point for a game, exclusives Switch, others Legion GO.
