This reminds me of how much I loved Ridge Racer on my 3DS. The 3D was great. Drifting was a blast and racing was furiously ridiculous. I ended up unlocking all cars and thoroughly enjoying that little gem. Even today I still think it is one of the best 3DS games. Impressive since it was basically a launch title for the 3DS. I hope Asphalt in Switch can take me back to that same happy place.
I remember reading that the Nintendo dock does more than just power your switch and connect it to your TV. It also has a chip that overclocks the switch so it can run processes faster. I doubt this new dock can do that, otherwise they would say so. This is more than just ensuring the voltage is correct. As others have said, the only safe way to reduce the footprint of your dock is to remove the internal parts and put it into a smaller shell.
I want to want this game but it looks a lot like Moon Chronicles on the 3DS. Moon Chronicles was a decent game that I enjoyed playing and beating once without much desire to play it again. The neon artwork, perspective and even the weapons in Morphite remind me so much of Moon Chronicles that I feel like I have already played this game.
