A lot of American scalpers could take advantage of this unfortunately. It's not a bad thing that they're available and not exclusive to Walmart here in Canada but people will be buying them just to export them for outrageous prices.
Don't know if I'm missing the point but I will be quite angry in the future if I have to buy a stupid %$# smartphone or tablet to play a new Nintendo IP like the Legend of Zelda, Mario, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, or Pokemon.
It's really sad that these little $13 figurines are bringing out some of the worst in humanity. As one who only buys certain characters and uses the figurines to actually play games with, trying to acquire them is a horrible experience. I certainly wish Nintendo and major retailers could do something about the hoarding, scalping, and supply issues. Casual fans are the ones who are getting punished the most.
I would LOVE to have DQVII for my 3DS. I've been waiting for it to come to North America since it was released in Japan. I am scratching my head as to why Square Enix is skeptical on releasing it here; Bravely Default sold very well in NA and that's a game I would have probably not blamed them being skeptical over but Dragon Quest? That's a game franchise you can expect to sell well around the world.

Re: Weirdness: Club Nintendo Members Attempt to Sell Flipnote Studio 3D Codes on eBay
This is as disgusting as those jerks who hoard all the Majora's Mask 3DS XLs and amiibos just to sell them on ebay for double the price.
