DKC Trilogy remastered, like they did with Metroid Prime. Same controls, same levels, Full HD. Same music. Small upgrades to DKC1 and 2 based on DKC3. And finally, DKC4.
Also, remaster Donkey Kong Land 1-3 while you're at it.
This game, I would LOVE a full remake on. I want the game to look like the box art, or better. I want the characters to feel like they are walking on the ground.
I wouldn't even mind if they remastered the soundtrack. It was really good, but man... it could be one for the ages.
Give this game the same treatment they just gave to Metroid Prime and Super Mario RPG.

Re: Opinion: We Really Don't Need A Donkey Kong Timeline
@HalBailman the main problem here is that DKC's player's guide already established that Cranky was the original DK, and the current DK's grandfather.
The fact that Cranky is standing on the platform that he is at the beginning of the DKC is also a hint about that.
Re: Opinion: We Really Don't Need A Donkey Kong Timeline
Okay, let's solve it:
There's a billboard that references Lady and the Kong, or something like that, in NDC.
Therefore Lady is in the first DK.
Lady's name was revealed to also be Pauline in some game booklets.
The Pauline in DKB references her grandmother, so they must be close. And they share a name. Naming a child after a grandparent is not unprecedented.
And since she is 13... this is a prequel to Odyssey. And she hasn't written the song yet, from that game.
DK Jr. is just as AWOL as he was during the DKC trilogy. And because of dialog in this game, we know that it takes place post Tropical Freeze.
It's not a difficult timeline to figure out. And it requires much less mental gymnastics than I had initially thought.
Re: Nintendo's Switch Online Service Spotlights Donkey Kong With New Hub
@MeloMan I've also wanted to see Donkey Kong Land remastered to look and play like Donkey Kong Country, in full color.
