@Bolt_Strike Something went wrong in Johto and the show never truly recovered. The first season was much of the time a spoof. You could watch it for the comedy routines reminiscent of the likes of Rumiko Takahashi. Just look at things like Misty's mood swings in the earliest episodes, and it's no coincidence in my opinion how two anime with yellow electric mascots are as popular as they are.
@Omega Not likely. The NTSC exclusive SNES mini didn't support RGB. Neither does NTSC Gamecube, or NTSC original Wii officially (though a softmod to PAL should switch video outputs to RGB).
