I don't really care if it's "innovative" or not, as long as the lineup of games is solid. I loved my N64 as a kid, and was quite excited when the Gamecube came out, actually. I really couldn't care less about motion controls. I had just as much fun gaming before they entered the scene. Either way, I'm looking forward to the WiiU. Sure, it's not completely new and exciting like the Wii was. But is it really that disappointing? It's not about the system, it's about the games.
Beatable in less than 10 hours? Xenoblade? What gave you that impression? The fact that people who have played it said it was arguably the largest Wii game? All the great reviews?
"Far better" is pushing it, IMO. Lately, I'm getting sort of tired of Kirby, and, as for Skyward Sword, I just hope I like it better than Twilight Princess. Don't get me wrong, TP was a good effort, but it didn't bring much new to the table.
@Rect_Pola There's no way these games would work for WiiWare. Size limitations, y'know? Either way, if the game doesn't have Mario, Zelda, Metroid, or Kirby in the title, Nintendo obviously will think twice about bringing it over here. And this might shock some, but I'm actually getting sort of tired of those series'.
Yeah, it'll be great if we get some quality third-party support. Don't get me wrong, the Wii had plenty of good stuff, but it left some to be desired. Also, I don't get what the big deal about motion controls is. I find games without them to be just as immersive, sometimes moreso.
I've been frustrated with NoA before, but this is just...something else. I'm just glad I own a 360- otherwise current-gen RPGs would be out of the question. I know it's kind of a niche-genre, but there are still tons of us out there. You can't keep targeting soccer moms forever, can you Ninty?
Pffft. I'm not getting a PAL Wii. Not for a long while, at least. Oh well, nobody expects Nintendo to give us quality RPGs anyway, so we shouldn't be surprised, I guess. I just don't see why they thought Xenoblade would do any better in Europe than it would over here. It was the top selling game on Amazon, for god's sake.
I'm glad, but not surprised. I mean, how many people here even own 3D TVs? It's really just a gimmick. A really neat one at first, mind you, but I'm sure the positive effects on gameplay are probably minimal, IMO.
I already own FF6 on every other console possible, but I'd still probably buy it on VC anyway. Lets hope Square keeps releasing more on the VC before the Wii dies!
well, I already have FFV on Anthology for PSX, but I'd still download it day one if it came to NA. I'm just downloading every SE game to encourage them to put the Quintet games up. I don't want to have to (shudders) emulate them for God's sake.

Re: There's Nothing Suggestive About This Video At All
I don't see what the big deal is. I've seen (and probably played) worse.

Re: First Impressions: Resident Evil Revelations
"Resident Evil 4 and its sequel were far more heavily focused on action rather than suspense, with almost no scares to be found."
I dunno about 5, but 4 sure used to scare me. Especially when I played at night.

Re: Localisation Evidence Grows as Pandora's Tower Demoed at Expo
So they're all confirmed for Europe now, I guess? Well, that's cool. I doubt it means anything for Americans, though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June 2011 (North America)
I downloaded FFVI and now I'm hooked. This is (I think) the 4th time playing through for me. I just proved myself wrong, I guess.

Re: Talking Point: The Growing Storm of Operation Rainfall
Yeah, I'm losing respect for Nintendo over this. There's really nothing we can do about it, unless Operation Rainfall really kicks it up a notch.

@XCWarrior
Yeah, lets just give all the RPG fans a game most of them have already beaten 3 times on the VC. That'll make 'em feel better.

Re: This GameStop Really, Really Loves Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Why can't my Gamestop be like this?!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles' Alternative Cover has been Decided
Damn, looks nice. I just started playing Xenogears myself, and I'm loving it, although it sounds like this has nothing to do with it.
Re: Rumour: Could This Be the Next Nintendo Console?
Probably fake, but I couldn't care less about motion controls, so I sort of wish they'd go back to the old way of doing things...
Re: European Virtual Console Gets Chrono Trigger in Quarter 2
Awwright, more classic RPGs! All we need now is the Gaia trilogy! (and an American release...)

Re: No, You Cannot Fight as Samus in Dead or Alive: Dimensions
I wasn't going to buy it anyway. The presence of Samus wouldn't have made it an any more interesting game.
