This only applies to 2x1 items y'all. And the amount of items in catalog that fit that is very low. Nintendo will probably fix this fairly quickly, but to anyone complaining about "inflation", you know what happens when there's suddenly a lot of something right? Prices decrease. Its simple economics. And honestly, people already inflate the prices of everything on Nookazon anyway, so the argument is almost invalid.
The game was meant to be played with FRIENDS. People you KNOW or a community you belong to. Anything online is beyond the game itself, or your individual island. Any arguments about Time Travelers, Glitch users, Turnip turners... they're all invalid. Because there IS NO in-game "economy". EVERYTHING in Animal Crossing is accessible to anyone who has the game at any point. If you don't have the patience to wait, or the friends to trade with and you've used Nookazon/Reddit/Facebook, then you're no better than these so-called "cheaters". (Which is dumb because cheating implies there's something to be won, and in AC, you don't "win". Ever.)
