Yes, but it has much bigger potential for PC if it continues to gain small transactions over time. What's cheaper for a company? What will make a company more profit faster?
Making a full game and packaging it? Or getting people to download an app and making profit on pixels as the game progresses?
I'm not saying it's not profitable, I'm saying Nintendo is a company- and companies always want to maximize their return and minimize costs. It's basic business. But of course, I still want a full game just as everyone else does. The shred of hope I hold is based on the fact that only 20% of revenue was from the US- maybe that'll push Nintendo to make another because US customers aren't biting with PC.
Only time will tell- but I wouldn't bet money on it. Nintendo hasn't seem to done so either. Crossing my fingers and moving on.

The way AC functions is very different than other games- if you haven't noticed. AC has a very loyal fanbase, but the games are so extensive and long-played (years based) that it's less likely Nintendo is going to churn out new games regularly.
The concern is that now that Nintendo has a new point of revenue for the AC fanbase, that the focus will turn away from making another full game.
Don't get me wrong- I want one too. But I really doubt we're going to get one.
@justin233 You can keep your hopes up- but the fact that Nintendo is building up their focus on PC so fast and intensely gives me little hope. It should really be a point of clarity to people that Nintendo is a company regardless of what people want/hope/wish for. Money is the main goal of every company. Honestly bummed me out for a long time. But I've accepted it if they don't make another. Still- a tiny bit of me has hope- but not much. That's life.

Mario is a WAY bigger title than AC ever will be. That's just a fact.
It sucks, but it's true. Nintendo hasn't hinted at a full game for years.
Amazes me how many people are seeing such great light in Nintendo for charging loyal AC fans $2 per fortune cookie for a randomly generated piece of furniture. Enjoy your $2 pixels. Not to mention their 'Fireworks Foreground' was 300 Leaf Tickets (50 LTs = $1.99) essentially making it $6 for minimal added game experience. I sadly spent $30 before quitting. Almost the price of a new AC game. Do the math- Nintendo isn't making a Switch version. Not when it has far too many players willing to pay for wrapping paper instead of actual content.
