It's funny that they too worked on Life of Pi, because a similar thing happened with Rhythm & Hues back in 2013 who also worked on Life of Pi... these visual effects companies aren't paid on how the movies perform rather up front, so in this case Sonic might now make tons of money thanks to the hard work of this studio, but sadly these people will likely get lost in the conversation...
