That was pretty sweet. Looks like it was a lot of fun. And at the end it was a nice surprise to see Rygel; glad Farscape is not just stuffed away in a crate somewhere, lol.
I wish I could buy a download of Hyrule Warrior's version of the House Theme.
I love that arrangement with the way they slowed it down and used the staccato trumpet. I always sit there and listen to it on the battle prep screen.
I love the soundtrack of Zelda medley's that came with the Skyward Sword LE. I would buy stuff like that by itself. Straight soundtracks are cool and all, I've bought a number of them, but I really like when they get orchestras or jazz bands or something to play new arrangements. Get that Mario Kart 8 band of theirs to record and sell a bunch of different songs like when they did this: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcuwJz3jDmKX0La49QCaFbj_oB4tCQrzu
This is an awesome interview and great insight.
I found it really interesting when he said he moved into a correspondence position where he was writing letters. When I was a little kid I used to come up with ideas for my own games and then draw instruction booklets for if they were real. I mailed some of those booklets to Nintendo, and they actually sent me a letter back thanking me. It really made it sound like my submission was appreciated and considered, and not just tossed aside with a "sorry we can't look at this." I was so excited when I received that letter and it was one of my most prized possessions I kept carefully tucked in my desk. I'm sure I still have it stowed in storage somewhere.
So kudos to Erich and the others who worked there, thanks for keeping kids hopes and dreams alive.
