Re: Analysts Expect Nintendo Switch Hybrid to End 'Two-Punch Strategy'

I am hoping for a new version of the Switch that is ultimately more portable after the discontinuation of the 3DS/2DS. They could possibly design a form factor of Switch with a smaller foot print and without the removable joycons. If it played the same games but actually fit in my pocket it would be amazing!

I think of it like this... Do we really buy Nintendo consoles for third party games? Its awesome to have those third party games but I mean honestly when I pick up a Nintendo controller I want to play Nintendo brand games. And why? Well because they are not only more fun, but of a higher quality of game. Games that bring people closer together with their unique form of game play. Games that take us back to our youth with nostalgia or stimulate our minds with complex puzzles. If EA wants to puts backing into "power" and "graphics" that's fine by me. I would rather see Mario and Zelda, as opposed to whatever new EA sports game or bland knock off third person shooter they release next. We support Nintendi for Nintendo, not for EA or anyone else.

Re: You Can't Use Your Wii Virtual Console Saves With the Wii U Virtual Console

@Wowfunhappy I believe the main issue would be that the save files are on different partitions of the hard drive, one being the Wii side an the other being the WiiU side. Also lets compare it to a Windowa PC for a moment. This is exactly the how it is for the Wii and WiiU... they are two completely different operating systems that use completely different files.

Transfering purchases from the Wii to the WiiU is in all honesty a luxury. Yes, I understand you want everything you have ever purchased on a Nintendo system to transfer to the new WiiU... But when the world upgraded from N64 to Gamecube we didn't get to take precious games from the past system with us. We had to play those games on the old system. Taking games from system to system is a process that involves programming and coding, not to mention money and time. It doesn't just magically port from the Wii menu to the WiiU menu it takes developers lots if time to go through all the VC games and make them work with he beloved WiiU game pad. This is expensive... But Nintendo eats a lot of the cost to give its adoring fans what they want and deserve. So I say quit complaining and have fun with your new toy.
