I hope Story of Seasons doesn't get delayed. (It comes out on my birthday!♡) ..and I ordered off Amazon too, so I'm more worried about them not being honest about delays. I want my strawberry cow preorder gift darn it!!! xD
@RadioHedgeFund Are you making sure to have the Switch itself updated to the most recent version before doing any updates to Animal Crossing? I heard that can cause the issue.. I also something was going wrong with SD cards but can't recall.
But omg I would be forever sad. They really should have allowed cloud saves or figured out the situation! Tough times we live in ... but losing all progress in a fav game would wreck me.
Definitely many factors go into the amazing sales! I think the game being on the Switch has given it extra appeal! Graphics are nice, flexibility of handheld or tv. Many who quit playing animal crossing picked it up again. Pocket Camp added in some new animal crossing fans too. And...Of course, the quarantine has caused a lot of people to look for a video game to play and this would be an easy choice!
Some surprised me with their interest in it! My husband got a copy for the lite so he can make an island, our kid usually plays on mine cuz it's more developed. My sister in law had gotten a switch for a family/kid friendly console. She randomly texted asking if I played animal crossing. She is obsessed now too. My friend from school and I have re-bonded over it, now having a way to visit each other more (loll, I don't live in my hometown anymore so). Its been everything and more we fans have hoped for. 🥺
I did digital for the game to avoid this issue. Now I'm having issues with the guidebook!! I've been really looking forward to getting it. Even if I have to wait longer because it's important to protect workers and take care of essential item shipments! That is 100% how it should be.
My issue is,Amazon has only said they are "prioritizing" essential items... that is misleading. Suddenly says "Currently Unavailable" since May 1st. So, at this point, its May 10th, getting toward mid-May and seeing that Amazon turned off 'unverified purchase' reviews due to people in U.S. leaving angry ones (hmm a damage control attempt by Amazon).
I go to google and read that it's due to Amazon not taking in any more book/non-essential stock. So the article said they didn't plan on having enough books in stock to fulfill pre-orders anyway. WHY THEN did they continue to accept pre-orders through April? They need to be more clear!! I waited to preorder because of this! This virus is going to continue indefinitely! You can't sell preorders when you have no intention of getting the items! They just kept moving the date and taking peoples money.
"Prioritizing essential items" means you are focused on getting those orders out first. Not "no longer accepting shipments of books at all"
If I get the chance to buy it elsewhere I will and I will never preorder again from Amazon. I also pre-ordered SoS: More Friends of Mineral Town. Are they gonna do me the same with that? Smh.
