It's fine. If you don't like them, don't use them. I seriously doubt a N character didn't get included because of the Mii characters. They just wanted to add a little lighter fun to the game. Its a good design move.
@Realgamer4life Not so much to ask since they are just sitting on all the NES/SNES ROM files trying to get $4.99 a pop for something that cost them nothing. Why not turn that into an advantage for the Wii U. If promoted right, people would buy Wii U's for that alone.
And they need to give away free downloads of their 8-bit NES titles. This will get the X generation buying the Wii U for them AND their kids. Please listen to this advice big N.
"Only to a dark place this will lead....." Nintendo needs to keep the golden rule: Pay for the entire game and get the entire game. If they wish to add more content, turn it into a sequel like the old days and we will buy that as well.
They should do a NES sports remix first with games like Tecmo Bowl, NFL football, Pro Wrestling, M.U.S.C.L.E., Blades of Steel, 720, Tag Team Wrestling, Tennis, Soccer, Ring King, Volleyball, Rad Racer etc.
@Ninhau I can see a few of your points, however, "the other people" are the 30 and 40 year olds that grew up spending a lot of time on those old games and would love to have the nostalgia back if they saw a few commercials promoting this idea. They can be introduced to the newer games by being "roped in" by the old ones. I think there is a huge market that Nintendo can capitalize on with this age group by giving away some of their old Roms that are 30 years old. This pushes the Wii U which in turn would be better for all of us.
If Nintendo would give away 100 free NES/SNES downloads with every Wii U purchase, Wii U sales would go through the roof. This would cost big N absolutely nothing because they are just sitting on all the Rom files, and the Wii U would be saved!
If Nintendo would give away 100 free NES/SNES downloads with every purchase of a Wii U, sales would increase 10 fold. It would cost them literally nothing to do this. They are just sitting on the ROMS. This would boost sales immediately and generate a lot of buzz...
@whodatninja True... That's not going to help things for the Wii U, but hopefully N will get some extra sales out of it. I still think giving away 100 free NES/SNES downloads with every Wii U purchase would boost sales immediately. They are just sitting on the Rom files. It would cost N absolutely nothing and they would sell a lot of machines.
The main thing that would sell Wii U's is if Nintendo made all of their 8-bit NES downloads free with the purchase of the Wii U. This would cost them absolutely nothing because they are just sitting on all those rom files. In return, they would sell a TON of Wii U machines. In my opinion it would really save them right now.
The new SSBB will be one of the key games that will save the Wii U. Remember it was game of the year in 2009 against all other systems. This and Zelda for the Wii U will get people buying consoles just for those games. Nintendo is about to unleash its power soon.
Would rather wait for the fewer extremely high quality games directly made by Nintendo exclusively....Don't really see a future in these releases, but maybe I'm wrong.
Not more horror, but push it a little more with the "scarier" and darker side surprises. Incredible audio will be a must. Have the Environment have A.I. to react to what the player does as far as environment destructibility. Example: If Samus creates a seemingly "random/useless" hole with a bomb or missile, next time she passes through, have something in that hole that is not to happy about their house being tampered with. This would give each player a semi-more unique experience as they go through the game.
I forgot how much I hated the Wind Temple, so I'll be finishing WWHD with a little NES Remix thrown in. Also a little SSBB action with my son as we await the Wii U version....

Nintendo thinks they are the best. As they should. There is nothing wrong with that....If you believe you are the elite, then you are.

Re: Guide: The Biggest Wii U and 3DS Retail Games Coming In 2014
Super Smash Bros. will be the game of the year in 2015. It will be THAT good. People will buy Wii U's at Christmas just to get that game.

Re: Lucasfilm Decrees That All Star Wars Video Games Are Non-Canon
I trust J.J. Abrams with Star Wars. He did an awesome job rebooting Star Trek. This time he will have Disney's pocketbook to keep the story going.

Re: The Nintendo eShop Is Like Paradise, Says Image & Form's Brjann Sigurgeirsson
@Ninhau Just trying to think about how to give this machine a shot in the arm. Zelda or SSBB has got to save this machine. It is an awesome system....
