I hope this is just gamer bubble talk.

I actively dislike 2 handed controllers now. The Pro Controller is nice for what it is, but I kept wanting to rip it in half so I quickly went back to joy-cons for docked play.

I use tabletop mode a lot and I use pass and play a lot.

If the successor ditches the concept, it'll be an active downgrade on useability to the point that there will need to be something significant in terms of exclusive games before I bite.
