Re: Where To Pre-Order SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Mini 2

FlyingShoeMan

I'm definitely interested in this, but it comes down to the final game list. So many ways of playing Sega games though that I skipped on the last Genesis Mini.....and unless the games list BLOWS me away, may skip this one too.

Now.......if they do something with Saturn or Dreamcast......yes. I'm down for that.

Re: Poll: Will Mario Kart 8's Deluxe Booster Course Pass Make You Buy The NSO Expansion Pack?

FlyingShoeMan

I have it on the family plan, but for the sheer fact that it allows my gf and sisters/nieces/nephews to enjoy the animal crossing and soon mk8 dlc without having to spend any more money on their end. And in hopeful they pad the n64 catalog a lot more in the near future (Majora's Mask is a good step, but man do I need some Mario Party games)

I still may purchase the dlc outside of the expansion pack here and there, so that it can be played without always needing to connect online. Overall, I'm content with the expansion pack, but am fine sinking the cost knowing family members are benefiting more (I touch the games/dlc maybe once a month or so - by myself, probably not worth it).

Re: Video: Remember When You Needed A Cable To Trade Pokémon?

FlyingShoeMan

I ended up trading with myself as a kid to get all of the Pokemon between RBY. .

But will say, was pumped when they had the wireless adapter with fire red/leaf green, but the GTS in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.....THAT was dope. I honestly miss the GTS and how simplistic it was (without needing to use Home).

Re: Poll: What's The Best Pokémon Game Ever?

FlyingShoeMan

I'd say my tops would be Heart Gold/Soul Silver and Platinum. HGSS edges out Platinum mainly for how much it has in that gen, but would take any of those three games.

Black 2 and White 2 would be my next vote, but with the caveat that continuing from Black/White worked so well, to me.

Re: Random: Some Trainers Have Already Captured The Legendary Pokémon In The Diamond & Pearl Remakes

FlyingShoeMan

My issue is not so much for leaking what's in the game. To a fair degree, it feels like most recent Pokemon releases hit this. As long as they are not in my face and only come up if I search for them, I'm good. Figure it's the same basic game as the previous versions and hopefully I'm surprised here and there.

I'm more concerned that people will get in trouble for leaking (I e. Sued). That seems to be a direction these seem to go, so if you have it early, just be careful... Play offline.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th October (North America)

FlyingShoeMan

I want mario kart, but also have a HORRIBLE track record with any toys to like kind of games. Also not to mention lack of noncarpet flooring and space....

Jackbox though, yes. That's one thing I can bring to my family's house if I can visit and we all play those.

Re: Alienware's Impressive Switch-Like Concept UFO Wins Best-In-Show Award

FlyingShoeMan

If battery life is good and it runs PC games well, I'm down. But also goes to the price point. Not sure what that is, but if it's high enough, the question becomes getting this vs getting a desktop.

Like the switch being someone's primary console, it depends on the use case of the person. I'll definitely keep an eye out though as if they hit sweet spots price/power/battery, this could be awesome and honestly, may help drive additional power to switch (though may be not).

Re: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore Takes To The Stage With English Sub Overview Trailer

FlyingShoeMan

@Tyranexx I'd say if you're just wanting to play it and have your Wii U handy, nab that as I think you can get it new under $20. By the looks of it, not sure if the new content is worth the $40, but it's a fun game that's worth a try.

My main issue with the Wii u version (and what may drive me to get this after a while) is the need to have the Wii u gamepad on that version. You can use the pro controller, but a lot of interactions and maps are only on there. Made it to where I usually had the gamepad docked in front of me while I used pro controller.

Re: Junichi Masuda Releases Official Statement About Limiting Sword And Shield's Pokédex

FlyingShoeMan

If they make the intro not be a pain to get through like it's been for a few generations, I'll be fine overall.

I'll still continue my living dex in Pokemon Home, but I will be sad if they exclude some of my faves. I mean, if they went a direction of adding the missing Pokemon via dlc or something with more new regions (ones like the Sevii Islands), I'd be down for that. No need to do new games from scratch EVERY time.
