Guys, I LOVE my 3DS XL. Especially ZEN P'INBALL is much more better to play - all of a sudden I started again playing that game. That machine is a damn good thing, I´m telling you.
I played Tri 338 hours. I beated all the online and offline-Quests. I never had such an experience with a video game. Thats why I really want an EU-Release, because I know how great this Game is. But why the hell Capcom does not say something official? "Hey you guys over there, its gonna come, but takes a while." That would be enough for me. But - nothing. Not even a short message.
I read a lot reviews about this game, I watched severeal videos. They all say the same: Oh, mimimimimi, this is so hard, mimimimimimi, I can´t beat this WiiWare-Game within two hours, mimimimimimi.
Metacritics says 58%.
Because of mimimimimimi.
But I always loved the look of this game, so I decided to take the risk of wasting 1000 Points. Now, after beating the first endboss, after getting the first upgrade for SOPHIA, I´m in love with this game. Sometimes it´s good not to make the reviews to your own opinion (mimimimimi). Listen to your stomach, as we in germany say.
I downloaded it too. Pretty hard, but you can lower the difficulty in the VCA options. There are 6 difficulties, and the game is set on the 5th of these 6 Levels! I lowered it down to 1, and then you can play it without thousand continues. I never liked that the Arcadegames back in the days were so incredible hard. I will train it now all the way up, because the stages are pretty short, if you know the way. Guess, how many coins we would have spended in 1987, to do that!
I don´t know the PC-Version. In my opinion the new sound is better. I tried to play with the old one, but switched back to the new version. And playing this as a platformer with the remote is fun.
Dumb thing is, I started this game along with a couple others. Now I have to realize, that I don´t get the story.
Am I right?: The player wakes up somewhere as a cat-like creature. Additional there is a boy (kazuma) trapped in a room with a computer. Kazuma looks like a human from behind. He´s searching with the computer for his sister. She´s one of the cat-creatures, but the people in the town don´t like her because she´s a stranger (similar to Cameron´s "Avatar"). The player now steps into this story and tries to help Suzy and Kazuma and during that he finds out who he is and why he is in here.
Was that right? I don´t get the stuff with the dragon eggs. That came out of nowhere.
Nobody I know in my forums played this game just three hours. It took me 5:53 hours to beat it completely. Great game, go and buy it, americans! Outstanding music, and uh, yeah, the eye-level is weird.
@linktothefuture: Sure this is a zapper-game, like Wild West Guns was - but that western game was way to easy. I beated it in less than three hours completely. It wasn´t challenging, and the lack of online leaderbords kept me away from that game. And you couldn´t choose the levels, and there was just one player save slot, so no one else on the familiy could play it. Pretty bad for a family console.
This one here looks much more better. Lets see whats the price. I don´t pay 1000 points again for games like this. If it comes for about 500 or 700, i might get it.
jordanr: but its relative easy, because on the saveslot you can jump to the different levels - and there are announcements which tell you which levels have to be redone for the items. Don´t forget: there is an additional level after collecting all 20!
@jordanr: Did you collect all 20 items? I still have to do this, which will raise the gametime to about 6 hours. @LittleIrves: Well, this game doesn´t focus on enemies. Yes, there are just two, but this is not a fighting game anyway.
I will finish it tonight. Yesterday I played 2 hours and 39 minutes - and reached the middle of Level 8. I guess there will be another hour or maybe 1 1/2 for me. And for trying to get all the hidden items it will be much more. 3 hours? No - not for me. Great game.
I agree. Very good game with a absolutely nice style - but, I´m not that enthusiastic about the grafics. Yes, it looks like on the pictures above, but there is a lot of flickering around, especially in the first levels. I liked a lot the Cloud-Area at Äolus´ temple - that was outstanding gameplay. Also, after the sixth level there is no longer any message about the use of your special abilities. Thats great - I hate games which tell you right before the endboss in level 45 still how to use your remote.
@koopa85: German translation was okay in that game. Many older games like Secret of Mana had the tendency to turn "childish" after translation. For example, in Mystic Quest Legend you getting attacked by "Flying Pyjamas", which was a Ghost in the original. But Majoras was okay.
Gentlen, tell me: I have that game still on cartridge. How big is the difference to the VC-grafics-update? Does it look now totally different? Sharpened like hell?
I tried it. Just plug the Remote in, not the Nunchuk (because of the grenades and the whip). The A button is only used with the tank - with that you can make him to a rolling bomb when his ammo is empty.
The best way is to stay on the upper level and hit that damn thing right on the head shield with the maschine gun. After a while the shield explodes. Look around every time that thing disappears and kill all coming enemies. Then keep firing to the open head. When the creature starts moving under the sand again, try to hit these two green ballons on his back. If you make a good hit, that thing can´t make his way under the sand and has to stay. Always fire to the head. You also can stop his ram attack with firing to theses ballons. But do NOT stay in front of it! Go to the ramps and shoot from above.
Its not a good review from IGN. He says in final conclusion that he is glad, that he downloaded it, and then he says its not a good game. What the hell is that? By the way, i can´t pass Level 8 Boss on hard. On normal I defeated him after a couple tries, but on hard that thing is a mess. The final boss is easier.
Well 78% is not that bad for an official n-mag. "Millions" of little pages doing reviews, every little mellonhead is making videos on youtube. Official reviews with a good average score are pushing the games to a success - and believe me, gentlemen, I sacrifized a chicken yesterday night that this game will make some money - I don´t wonna see these puzzlers anymore.
Oh, just as to remember - we are on the way to the 300, and that shows the interest to that game.
@Mange: Go and get Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. You can play the complete campagne with the zapper likein Links Crossbow, additional the game has a rail part. @Objection_Blaster: Yes, sorry, thats the german word for it. Its rank.
Okay, here is a list. Gentlemen, this could be a spoiler for anybody, so stop reading if you don´t wanna know.
Expert: Beat the game at hard Ultra: Beat the game at expert
smg 1. upgrade: Box mission 3 smg 2. upgrade: Beat the game at hard shotgun 1. upgrade: Box in mission 11 shotgun 2. upgrade: Beat expert assault rifle 1. upgrade: Box in mission 5 assault rifle 2. upgrade: Beat ultra Rocket 1. upgrade: s rang in mission 9,10,11 normal Rocket 2. upgrade: s rang in mission 1 - 12 ultra (what a mess) Grenades 1. upgrade: s rang in mission 1,2,3 normal Grenades 2. upgrade: s rang in mission 1 - 8 hard Whip 1. upgrade: s rang in mission 5,6,7 normal Whip 2. upgrade: s rang in mission 1 - 8 expert
A lot to do. I didn´t make this list - just copied it from a real freak.
@dogsoldier: Run direct to one nest and hit it with the whip or your shotgun. After destruction clean the ships area, than take the shortest way to the next nest - same procedure. The solution is speed in this level. After you erased a couple nests, the panic in this level starts to slow down.
@Bahamut ZERO: Well, the LAST NINJA games have absolut great music, but heavy gameplay. One of the best games we europeans have is NEBULUS, an eight-level-nightmare, in wich you play some kind of a frog trying to climb towers packed with riddles. The main thing on that game is the graphic. Its 3D and was a sensation at that time. Great game, really.
And just for you americans: we also had the discussion about the price for C64 games - its everbodys decision.
I picked it up after downloading Devils Crush. At the moment i´m on a pinball-trip. Ball physics look more realistic here at this one, but the table itself is a little empty. Nice game. Lets see what secrets i will find.
A couple weeks ago I was looking for a cheap timekiller - realized, that I don´t have any Pinball. I didn´t like the Video, but the review and the comments made me horny to that game. Well, I bought it - and it is damn good. The ball bounces sometimes a little unrealistic, and if I try to stop him he is shaking like there would be some electricity in his butt ... if there would be one. Really good game. Crazy, old, colourful - the hell of a fun.
Yesterday night I had the first coop session. Hell of a fun. We played on hard, because both of us beated the game on normal. Outstanding product for just 1000 points.
@jangonov: Well, in truth we are workers at Hudson. We hate the game, we just want to make it a success. Don´t buy it, it´s just an actionshooter with hundreds of bugs.

I want Tiger Heli!
Re: Review: Black Tiger (Virtual Console / Virtual Console Arcade)
I will pick this one as soon as possible. I played the C64-version a lot and loved it.
Re: Black Tiger
Of course the C64-version didn´t look like that.
Re: Black Tiger
Hey, i remember this on my C64! Might get this. Cool game.

I will get it too. Reviews are bad, but i love Railers.
Re: Review: Faxanadu (Virtual Console / NES)
The box looks cool. Sadly this is just a download. Wish i could have the game as an original.
Re: Faxanadu
I´m waiting for this game since the VC started. Bring it to europe!
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd April 2010 (Europe)
Chronos Twins for just 700? My next stop!!
Re: Nintendo Download: Pilotwings, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Pop Plus, Arkanoid and Bit.Trip (EU)
Arkaniod? Great, still have it on my C64 - with the Competition Pro hard to play. Maybe this works better.
Hey, I want Krakout - the music that day was awesome.
