I don't care what anyone says, I will defend this game till the day I die. This is easily up there with some of the best Castlevania/Igavania games including Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia. Yes the Switch version isn't the best, but its still playable to the point where you will have an amazing time. I can't wait to see what IGA will do next!
Even though I absolutely disagree with this list cause I really think the amount of praise MM2 and MM3 get are from nostalgia or because that was many people's first MM game... I am happy to see the Zero games being high on the list cause they really are great games.
Ok, maybe controversial opinion: I agree with Aonuma. When BOTW came out, I sort of understood some of the complaints from many Zelda fans. But when TotK added dungeons, caves to explore, had a bigger focus on story and characters, etc...It felt like a return to the traditional Zelda games while still being open world. And if future Zelda games follow up and expand more what TotK did, like adding more dungeons, then I really don't see the point in going back to the linear game design. I rather just have an open world game, than something like OoT, WW, TP & SS again where it feels like an open world game but it really isn't.
At the same time, we had five whole games that followed OoT's formula, while we only had two open world games. So can we still have more open world games for a bit longer at least before you guys just say "No, this isn't the Zelda game I want"? I'm just glad with how well BOTW and TotK performed and were received, it does seem like the next few games will be open world and I can't wait.
@UmbreonsPapa That's literally the only thing that may give me hope about him cause I agree that Detective Pikachu wasn't that bad. But it still worries me that he's the writer for this movie when he's associated with the Jurassic World movies and Rise of Skywalker
Knowing that its live action and that Avi Arad is involved, I just can't be that much excited. He was also the producer for the Uncharted live action movie and look at how that turned out. And also, the writer, Derek Connolly, was also one of the writers for Rise of Skywalker which is also a giant red flag. So yeah, my expectations are VERY low.
@NintendoWife I really think they should 100% make Prime 4 be like the or one of the Nintendo's next console, launch title. Like basically, what Nintendo did for Breath of the Wild where it was originally intended for the Wii U, but as they worked on the game more and more, they realized that it should be released on the Wii U but also, a launch title for the Switch. But I don't mind if its exclusive to Nintendo's next console only as well. If its one of Nintendo's next console's launch title, it would be great for Metroid cause not only its a launch title, but a game that everyone has been waiting forever even if you aren't a Metroid fan, which could bring a lot of newcomers. And maybe this could make Metroid so much more popular.
@Darkred401 I highly doubt it sadly. If they haven't fixed the game by now since launch date and even when the first part of the DLC was released, then its obvious, they aren't prioritizing on fixing the game. In couple of days, its going to be one whole year since this game came out and it STILL runs poorly.
@LadyCharlie Good question! My opinion, I think its because Kid Dracula, while we can call it Castlevania game, its a parody spinoff title. Like it doesn't technically take place in the same timeline or lore with the mainline games. Not only that, but everyone who plays Kid Dracula, will know its not like the other Castlevania games and its really its own thing.
Legends though can be confused with the mainline Castlevania games because it plays, looks and feels like an actual Castlevania game like the other 2 Gameboy games. So I think Konami knew that Legends would cause some confusion and decided not to add the game in the Collection. But that's my theory
@Bobb The game came out before Lament of Innocence did and yeah, Legends was sorta supposed to be like, the Belmont's origin story. But then people noticed where the story takes place and how we see a major Castlevania character in Legends...which just didn't make sense and created some connectivity issues. So this game become non-canon and then, Konami did Lament of Innocence which is now the canon game that tells us the origins of the Belmont Clan vs Dracula.
It's so weird but that's why I think Konami pretends this game just never happened because they know it didn't make sense with the rest of the series. Heck I think that's why this game wasn't added to the Castlevania Anniversary Collection
I agree with many others that the next game maybe should have a smaller roster. But I bet many people will be angry or disappointed with the smaller roster and ask if its worth buying it when Ultimate has a much bigger roster. But I think what could maybe work, is not only having a smaller roster in the next Smash game, but introduce a lot of new characters so maybe it feels more worth it. Like I'm going to be honest, Ultimate's roster is amazing and the DLC characters are incredible. But I did feel like getting only 7 new character, 2 of them being Echo fighters, in the original base game was disappointing and very little. If the next game has like smaller roster, but we get like 10+ new characters, I think people will be fine with the smaller roster, because we have a lot of brand new characters to play.
@inkslinger It makes sense to me honestly. Quebec-French shouldn't be a huge priority when the default French language that everyone else uses and are ok with in so many other countries and places, is more important. I guess, maybe because its going to be so much easier to add the Quebec-French version, they wanted to focus on it later and prioritize the other things.

Like it isn't amazing, but its a good attempt of putting Contra on the gameboy.
