Anyone remembers the unreal engine demo that was made in 7 days? Judging by the requirements (steam), but the low size of the game (2GB), they probably stuck with the unreal engine (3 or 4, I think)... But why does the final product looks less polished than the prototype? Maybe they wanted to have a more cartoon-ish style, so they basically took out most of the lighting effects. And if I remember correctly, Borderlands 2 on vita, wich was running on the unreal engine, has online multiplayer support, even if it's way inferior than the console/PC versions...
