Hold on. It isn't New Game+. The first game ends on a massive cliffhanger. Then, when you come out to the main menu, it has changed to the menu for the sequel to show you that you can continue the story immediately. It's one of the most unique twists I've seen in 35+ years of playing videogames. What follows is the narrative picking up immediately where it left off. There are significant gameplay and presentation changes so it somehow feels exactly like a sequel.
Personally, I feel that they've just spoiled their own game's big twist. And I have no idea why. Perhaps they have data that suggests that people didn't understand that there was more to do after the first set of credits and the main menu changes.
The worrying thing in the survey is the heavy focus on mobile games. And the only place to say "Go back to Final Fantasy I-X turn based battles, you fools!" is in the freetext comments at the very end.
