@freaksloan Thank you for supporting us! Do not forget that you bought the game at a promo launch price and it means that you will get an update with online multiplayer for free!
@NexisGames We base your abilities on what you have done so far. Lets see if August 25th is the final date as you promised or it will be delayed again and again...
have a nice day too and good luck with your development
1) It is Nexis Games who is inexperienced, you announced Ucraft due before the end of 2014, then Wii U exclusive, later multiplatform, later Wii U exclusive again. You have never answered which features we promised and have not delivered, to call us inexperienced, sorry!
2) We do not have lack of faith in Wii U. How can you say it to the developer, who published 7 games for the Wii U in a year?
3) Thanks for the proof. We suggest to change the name of the video from "Infinite World Generation" to "Infinite Plain Generation".
What we wanted to say, is that it is not problem to create a tech demo with infinite world on the Wii U. But it is not a GAME! When you try to include changing blocks, other players, NPCs, items, effects, UI, crafting, music and sounds, save/load system, etc in your infinite tech demo - we think it will not work together on solid FPS.
Regarding your video in this article. Do you really offer 10+ items in a game with name U"craft" ? It looks like a solid crafting
@NexisGames
What are you talking about? Advertise? Look at the end of the article. Both Cube Life and Stone Shire are mentioned and linked there!
FYI, I bet almost everybody here knows CL, it is in the TOP10 on the eShop, it is doing VERY well... just look at the Miiverse, take a look at "HOT GAMES" below this comment and you will see Cube Life there. So what are you talking about?
There was a question to @Cypronia which we answered on Stone Shire thread. It is about our policy and approach to Nintendo community. We do our best to communicate and answer everything.
If somebody mention Ucraft in any CL threads, you are very well welcomed to answer. We will not accuse you of " shameless attempts to advertise your own games".
Also, you haven't listed the features we "promised and have not delivered". If you are afraid to advertise our game, feel free to put it on CL thread... but the problem is, that it was just your fiction, you have no facts and you just try to escape to give answer...
@NexisGames wrote "I haven't answered that specific question because this is a UCraft thread and you have a habit of notoriously appearing in the threads of other developers in shameless attempts to advertise your own games."
Sorry, but it was YOU who wrote that we (Cypronia) failed to deliver features as promised. You did this on Ucraft forum. It would be fair to explain.
@Twiilight_Prince There is a limited RAM (and other HW limits) on the Wii U for infinite world itself... and it will be very challenging to run an infinite world including main hero + NPCs + UI + weapons + items + crafting + custom textures + 16 online players and keep everything on smooth playable frame-rate. We have doubts until we see this working...
@NexisGames You have not answered 2) Can you list the features we promised and have not delivered, please?
Also, Cypronia has announced Cube Life in January, targeting Q2 release. US version has been just released, EU version is going to be released on June 25th. This is how WE do it...
@NexisGames Notable features of "sandbox" in games mean an open-world with non-linear play. Even games like Arma or Far Cry, they are open-world games and have limited maps.
Sandbox game genre does not mean Infinite world...
@NexisGames For the third time: 1) You haven't answered my direct questions. Can you modify every single block and save it very quickly in your infinite world? How long will it take to save the game in Ucraft on the Wii U?
2) Can you list the features we promised and have not delivered, please?
@NexisGames LOL. You are wrong, because Cube Life world is 100% dynamic. You can change every block on it, save it and it will be changed.
You wrote: "Seems to us you purposely poorly executed the backend..." seems you try to provoke us... why?
You haven't answered to my direct question. Can you modify every single block and save it very quickly in your infinite world? How long it will take to save the game in Ucraft on the Wii U, btw? Thanks for your answer.
You posted "Ucraft is the only one with an actual infinite world generator. The limits of the game are only set by the amount of freespace available on your Wii U and UCraft save files are extremely small."
You probably refers to Cube Life long save time... Wel, we are curious and really need to ask: Can you confirm to Nintendo community that Ucraft infinite world is fully modifiable and the save files are extremely small ?
@Blue_Rover EU/UK prices here are standard prices. There will be a launch promotional discount, too. Here are the promo prices available at game launch: £5.39/€6.99 for UK/EU So, no worries
@MitchVogel It is compressed even now. Without it we could not fit in to save data limit on the Wii U. As we announced, local multiplayer is the number #1 priority for us as well as fixing the bugs you discovered (Invert Y, bales of hay stuck, too much of reflection, better tool durability etc...).
When this is done, we try to do more optimization, maybe it helps.
Btw, maybe you noticed when you run Minecraft or Stone Shire, the game is still generating cubes in front of the player. We included this in "loading" screen... Maybe we could generate tiles the same way and save loading time?
@WhiteTrashGuy Yes, definitely! We get hundreds of emails/posts/comments every day which is a quite hard to reply to everybody in a short time, but on the other side you guys give us great feedback on new features, fixes, bugs and everything which may help to make the game even better... and we are happy to hear from you
@AtomicSoda Also great thanks! Cube Life exists thanks to the players like AtomicSoda, who supports us by purchasing and also letting us know they like what we do! Thank you!
@SeriousSam EU/UK prices here are standard prices. There will be a launch promotional discount, too. Here are the promo prices available at game launch: £5.39/€6.99 for UK/EU So, no worries
@polarbear The game name is "Survival" not only for marketing reasons, but because the game is about surviving on an island with all of life's necessities: Food, water, shelter...
But you are right, we noticed that new players find it difficult, so we are going to run the official game Forum with many useful tip, trick, tutorials, videos for all players.
There will be a "Feature Requests" section where everyone can share its ideas and thoughts which can be implemented in future updates
@Gridatttack We are working on a local multiplayer which will be included in a first patch together with fixed issues. So, everybody who purchased the game at launch promo price $6.99 will get it for FREE. For new players, the game price will be higher.
Hello all! We like the review. Regarding extremely long load times, such 3D open-world games do need extremely huge saves, thats why it takes so long...
@Retrokip Thank you for positive words! We hope you will participate in creating maps for Cube Life's multiplayer which will be possible to share with other players. Coming soon!
Thank you all for supporting us. We appreciate all the feedback from you, it will help us to make this game better a the best of its genre. We are working on a patch which will include bugfixes, multiplayer and more... we do our best to finish the patch as soon as possible.
There are many of you asking for new skins, so it is a signal for us to think about it. And Of course, the video is just slowed down to create a slow-motion effect. Be sure game works very smooth, 30+ frames per seconds!
Thank you for supporting us! We really appreciate it.
@McoobabWATP It is a global rankings for both North American and European players to find out who is the best There will be a nickname along with days survived, actual level and experience. We will see the TOP 100 players of the month and the TOP 100 players overall. We have plans to reward such players for example the best players will automatically gets our new games, etc
@Savino Hi. Multiplayer is not finished from our side yet, so we are not able to publish the final words. But, local multiplayer looks promising, one player with Gamepad, the second with Pro controller + TV.
We would really like to implement online multiplayer, it is not easy, but we will do our best. At least for 4 players, ideally for 6-8 players.
How long we plan to support the game? It depends on you - Nintendo players. We plan to support the game for entire 2015 for sure. If there is interest from Nintendo community by bringing us fresh ideas and lot of feedback, the support will last one year since release - at least!
@Drumpler It really looks like Stone Shire developer or close person wrote this
Btw, we are a Nindie developer too. Few years ago, some of our games got really low score, we had same feelings like you, we tried to defend us. But it was useless. It is better to put that energy to make better games. Do not take criticism to take you down... analyze it, because it can help to move forward.
The site is NOT against the small Nindies. We are Nindie, too. The site is here for Nintendo players. They pay money for good games. It is fair to point out (like reviewer did) that this game is currently not worth of that price because it is a rushed and unfinished demo. You created it, published it, asking $7.99 for it. Honestly, we 100% agree with the review, that Stone Shire is currently a tech demo. You would do better to release it for free, at this stage as it is.
We could do the same and we could release Cube Life in November when we had the same level of content as you have right now. But it would be not fair to ask $6.99 and make promises, we will include this and that later... please wait 6 months.
So, we have worked hard, included a LOT of content and going to release it next week. Our standard retail price is $14.99. BUT, we know that there are still many features we can implement, so we rather ask $6.99 now, and raise the price when extra features like multiplayer, sharing maps, and more is done.
We really wish you good luck and lot of energy finishing your game.
@Royalblues 1) All non-animal characters are brown skin people, including you as a hero
2) There are 2 parties. Cannibals and Local inhabitants. Cannibal are aggressive, they attack everybody. Local inhabitants are peaceful, it is up to you if you act as a good person and trade with them, or you can steal stuff from them or even fight. In that case they will fight back, of course. We offer a freedom for the players, they decide what they want to do!
3) We do have dark skinned people because it take place on tropical islands. If it took place on North pole, we would do eskimo like people. We wanted to keep some level of realism in Cube Life. It is not a Minecraft copy with a fantasy characters like dragon, zombies, skeletons etc
Do not judge a game just from a short action scenes captured for the video teaser
@ElkinFencer10 Thank you for supporting us! We care about Nintendo gamers, it is not a sweet lie. You can check our website, all games we developed in last 5 years were Nintendo only. Actually, we giveaway 1000 free games for 3DS and Wii U during April - May to Nintendo community...
@TromboneGamer Sure it is not. Water reflection fps is low, because game fps is high (30-40) and what you see is a slow-motion video effect, not dropping frame rates. Dumb shark design/animation - many people like it and call it "minecraft style". You realize a new experience when you try to play such game genre on the Gamepad. Thanks for your comment, anyway.
@Kaze_Memaryu Thank you for your opinion. Let us explain why we use the launch discount. We have very high faith in our game. And we also value Nintendo community.
The first version which will be released in 2 weeks is quite complex with lot of content compare to our competitors. But it does not include multiplayer and there are still many features we would like to include. We have many new ideas and you, players, have them, too. We would like to hear from you and implement best ideas you suggest. Now we see, that many of you are asking for multiplayer, so we have just started to do multiplayer modes. If many of you want 3rd person view, we will include.
We know that general demand for block building genre on Wii U is very large. We could sell it for $14.99 and when sales drops, lower the price like others do and do not care anymore. There are many articles about problems with pricing games on eShop and discounts, maybe you know. So we try something new.
Our strategy is different, because... We are not just Nintendo developer, we are Nintendo players and we are a part of Nintendo community. We own all Nintendo consoles, we wear Tshirts with Mario... so our strategy is different.
We offer 60% launch discount, then work with community on future updates, to make Cube Life the best of its genre. If the game has multiplayer and more features that now it has, we will sell it for the full price $14.99.
We value all Nintendo users which will support us at beginning and buy discounted version, they will get all new updates (with multiplayer) for free
@rjejr Hello. "a whole new experience" the main reason is experience to play such a game on the Gamepad. And it is possible on the Wii U only. There are also more reasons, they all together bring such "experience". You will have a chance to try in 2 weeks, if you want

the price is $6.99 ONLY
Currently we are working on Multiplayer, which will be distributed as an game update.

You realize a new experience when you try to play such game genre on the Gamepad. Thanks for your comment, anyway.
Re: Minecraft Clone Cube Life: Island Survival Confirmed For June Release, Launch Discount Revealed
@Plateface It is not poor framerat. it is a slow-motion effect for Teaser. Average frame rate is around 30-40 fps, No worries

@Kaze_Memaryu Thank you for your opinion. Let us explain why we use the launch discount. We have very high faith in our game. And we also value Nintendo community.

Re: Minecraft Clone Cube Life: Island Survival Confirmed For June Release, Launch Discount Revealed
@rjejr Hello. "a whole new experience" the main reason is experience to play such a game on the Gamepad. And it is possible on the Wii U only. There are also more reasons, they all together bring such "experience". You will have a chance to try in 2 weeks, if you want
