@Ham-n-jam Ohhhh, I see what you mean now. Thanks for explaining that in good faith. And yeah, I totally agree. Though TBF, I find even the censored version of Lin's bunnysuit pretty... uncomfortable to look at. Seems like a missed opportunity for a pajama-esque bunny-themed onesie. Though I've never understood Japan's fixation with child soldiers in fiction anyway. At least in Gundam the message is that war is hell for everyone, even the kids.
I just want to play a female character who is as flat-chested as I am. And for some reason, Nintendo of America decided I can't have that just because I don't live in Japan. Then Japan decide it was a good idea. It's an extremely outdated way of thinking. "We can't have a bust slider for the female protagonist in this game because only boys will play this."
There's really no positive way to look at "less features in character customization" when Rook being customizable is a key part of the game.
Insisting it's about gooning or saying it's unimportant is really reductive of the actual issue, and that's games having features removed and companies adhering to outdated standards of girls not playing games and being inherently sexual for having certain body types.
Not to mention the "13 year old" counter is a gross misrepresentation that makes me wonder if they even played the game. Rook is the one who you customize, and their age is also something you can customize both in the character creator and in dialogue. You could literally make Rook look like a middle-aged man and then say "I'm not old enough to drink" so this character customization feature removal issue isn't about a 13-year-old party member.
EDIT: Also, the guy who said that bunnysuits aren't a sexual thing in Japan has obviously never played Dragon Quest.
