@BIG3 my wife and I did this years ago! There’s a note on my phone somewhere. One was themed: holiday. Sunshine airport - cheep cheep beach - toads harbour etc. making themes and corresponding tracks is brilliant. Made us use relevant vehicles that we weren’t used to as well which resulted in joyous chaos
@MarioLinkSamus I recommend! Definitely get folks over and don’t be stingy with snacks. Having teams swapping in and out adds to the fun - watching them try to chastise/encourage at the same time 🤌
@Bret I think the optimum way to experience it would actually be to load up each GP individually. That way it resets the points total and keeps the fire lit. It’s just the time sink of adding the totals at the end and loading from the start each time.
@Anti-Matter the game is so good and the wii U sold so poorly I think they just didn’t need to iterate. Will be very interesting to see what they do next though.
@nocdaes ah I see! Yeah, I’ve been collecting games for two decades so knew it would be a stretch. Was hoping with people lending I might just scrape it. Was really happy with the total though. And also the remaining games are out there - experiencing the whole list is a viable option. Hope you’ll give the article a read.
@nocdaes if you had carried on you would’ve seen that I nearly quadrupled my collection! I’m not sure I understand what you mean by being under a rock though??
@Dark_Isatari interesting as a lot of genre fans site fusion as one they enjoy less as it’s more linear than the others (I love it). Hollow-likes is 10/10 wordplay 👏
@SuntannedDuck2 I am in love with Mole Mania atm - even if playing it in Japanese. Catrap I can’t recommend enough and I know Avenging Spirit and Quarth have really dedicated fan bases. Really keen to add them next.
@Ogre84 it’s something I genuinely keep in mind when buying games nowadays. If there’s a title I’m even curious about I’ll get it in case it’s one day just prohibitively expensive. Reselling helps a lot. Was sad to pass kid Dracula on again but glad I got to try it.
@SpaceboyScreams very nice! I think the comparative simplicity of the gameboy makes homebrew a much more viable path for people looking to make games. Great to see people trying interesting & new things with it. I adored the 3ds too though and am sure a homebrew scene will emerge - can you imagine folks making their own 3D titles? That would be mad.
@obijuankanoobie married father of two too! If you’re a gameboy fan this is definitely a fun project, plus you can cycle through them if you’re willing to go through the process of selling them on. The experiences are relatively short so you’ve always got stuff to play.
@LikelySatan you built a GB SP?! 🤯 I’m in awe! Picture? Pocket really is worth it, don’t get much time to play and the save states are excellent for it - particularly for some of these games I collected up. Glad you enjoyed the article.
@Nontendo_4DS I'm having a GREAT time, thank you! Honestly, the quality people managed to pump out of this tiny system is insane. I'd adore a Game Boy Mini - though in the meantime I'm very happy with my Analogue Pocket and pictured collection of original Game Boys.
@Jhena they vary, from about 30-50ish, and postage varies too. Best to check with each individual. If you have an analogue pocket, GB everdrive or way to play without a handheld the digital versions never really break a tenner.
@Jeff thank you for reading! It’s a growing community and it’s lovely to see the devs there lift each other up. Will you be checking the scene out yourself?

@CaleBoi25 that is genuinely crazy. I believe the attachment rate for switch is something like 1 in 4?

@PokemonDMG I painted one once but it made the buttons sticky. Was so annoyed with myself - promised I’d never ruin a console again! 😅

@Jhena no problem! I’d love to hear if you pick any up.
Re: Feature: Can We Track Down Every Cart In Our Top 50 Game Boy List In One Week?
@KingMike catrap very expensive. Adored the game though, if you’ve still got it I’d recommend holding on to it!
Re: Feature: Can We Track Down Every Cart In Our Top 50 Game Boy List In One Week?
@KingMike you’ve nailed it, tbh. They are out there if you want them, but they are very expensive now.
Re: Feature: Can We Track Down Every Cart In Our Top 50 Game Boy List In One Week?
@PokemonDMG TBH for me DX is the superior one. But there is something special about the original title too. Do you still have a gameboy?

Re: Feature: Meet Four Developers Making Brand-New Game Boy Titles In 2024
@Truegamer79 great mum! I remember mine making me a gameboy birthday cake with Mario jumping out of the screen. Absolute 10/10 birthday.
