@JasmineDragon NIS is still doing pretty bad right now. They're probably porting Disgaea 4 right now because they know it'll be a guaranteed way for them to recoup some money, since it's one of their most acclaimed games.
@Arnold-Kage In terms of gameplay, it's slower than 5 (it takes a lot longer to level up stuff like statisticians), but in terms of characters and how they interact with each other, it's by far the best in the series. Personally really glad they decided to skip 2 and 3 to bring us 4, since 2 and 3 are remarkably boring (aside from my boys Axl and Almaz, and 2nd best girl Raspberryl). Here's hoping the next port is either Disgaea D2, Soul Nomad, or Makai Kingdom.

@Alucard83 You can turn battle animations off in the options menu. That options been around since Disgaea 1.
