This just shows that there's big disconnect between the gaming media and the people.
We've seen it before when Xenoblade 2 came out and couldn't even win best soundtrack at TGA's when the public was praising it, or how about how 3 Houses got the cold shoulder but won the TGA fan poll?
They'll continue to get it wrong as long as Nintendo is involved.
So the Treehouse presenters have to sound a certain way for the game to seem hype?
Bruh, you've been projecting all the way through in your hatred for the %10 percent of Dread that you've seen, but then you're dumping on people that sees it differently, on top of saying it's a "cash grab", which doesn't make much sense.
His "cash grab" take doesn't make much sense and he provided the reason why in his own rant (the series hasn't sold very well).
What he has, is a personal problem with a game he's only seen %10 (maybe less) of and it seems like he's annoyed that other people are hyped for it when he's not.
I probably would have felt those MM vibes a year ago being that the only thing we saw was Link and Zelda underground in the vicinity of what looked like the corpse of Ganon, but this new trailer shows open skies and a bright atmosphere, so I don't see the MM comparison.
The consensus around Nintendo's E3 was pretty positive and judging by the Amazon best seller list here in the US, Nintendo games take up 6 slots at #3,8,9,11,13, and 16 (you also don't see a game from the competition until #17) in AmazonUK, Metroid Dread is the first videogame there at #7.

Re: Rumour: EA Is Planning On Reviving An "Established IP"
If it's Dead Space, what gives anyone the thought that EA would do right by the IP? 🤔
I got Ubisoft making a top notch Watch Dogs game before that happens..

@BloodNinja
You're trolling at this point.
See ya in the next topic ✌️
Re: The First Review For Mario Golf: Super Rush Is Now In
These Mario sports games always hover around the 7-8 type scores, which is fine for me!

Re: Yes, Cruis'n Blast Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch
Man, we don't get games like this much anymore, so it's great to see this coming back on the Switch.
I'll definitely buy the physical just to show I appreciate these types of games too.
Re: Talking Point: Why Metroid Dread Will Be Worth $60
Hollow Knight isn't even in the same league as Metroid so the argument about the price is insulting.
Also, Metroid isn't a "Metroidvania", but I'll leave that up to you guys to figure out why.

I dunno about that broski.

Nintendo seems to be having a great post E3 bump.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New
@ProfessorNess
Nah, Nintendo "won" E3 with the games that are coming out this year;
Metroid Dread
Advance Wars reboot
Warioware
Mario Party
SMT5
Finally showing BotW 2 just capped it off.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New
If you're a young and/or a new Nintendo fan, you probably can't relate to why this Direct was so good.
Don't even worry about it. Just go buy the games when they come out and THEN you'll understand.
Re: "Important" Pokémon UNITE News Will Be Shared Tomorrow
People are acting self righteous now that Tencent is involved is kinda hilarious.
With that being said, I'm not really looking forward to this game regardless.
Re: The E3 2021 Awards Winners Are In, But Nintendo Lost Out
@checkr911
Can't be too harsh on MS.
Their show was actually paced well and they showed alot of games in MS' future.
Granted, it was a bunch of CGI and FPS games, but it shows that they're trying to win people over.
Now, in terms of just pure hype of lineup? Nintendo won hands down.
Re: The E3 2021 Awards Winners Are In, But Nintendo Lost Out
@ryu_san
Yup! That's always case, but in terms of what I've been hearing and seeing over social media, Nintendo was a winner with MS being in a close second.
Can't believe we're in a timeline where the rumored Metroid Dread was real!
