I think a lot of people don’t realize that NOA and even NoJ are more compartmentalized silos than a fully immersed company with a cohesive culture. So what happens in one part is often something the other pieces never know about. So it’s easy for pockets of crap to take root, but very hard for them to spread. I can honestly say despite working with/for TPC-J and HAL for years that there were people in other “sections” that had no idea who I am and vice versa, despite being very well known within our own fiefdoms.
I think while this is common knowledge within the industry, it’s not as common with fans and journalists. The title is misleading as it makes it sound like ALL of the Big N has this problem, but the content of the article is clear this is centered around the product testing sector.
I can say the PokePorn is done. I can’t tell you the amount of Lucario fan porn I’ve been sent or shown. But I never took it as sexual harassment.
I own the Aya Neo Pro 2021 (they start going out to the rest of the public in mid September) and it’s amazing.
I’m a PC and handheld gamer primarily and this combines both for me. I use it to play a lot of games that aren’t on my Nintendo or retro handhelds. I can play anything Wasteland 3 to Sam and Max Hit the Road. I’m primarily using it to play S/TBRPGs and old school adventure games, but I’ve got Cyberpunk running on it far smoother than it ever has on a PS or Xbox.
This was originally presold about half a year before the Steam Deck was announced. Which is why it is so much more expensive. Think of it like the Saturn and then Sony undercutting the price point with the original PSX/PS1 (abbreviation varies depending on your age)
The target market for this is pretty big. PC gaming is not only a huge worldwide market but it’s also the market with the most disposable income. People happily spend thousands on a custom gaming rig and for something with these specs, that is customizable while letting you play any and all games without being tied down to first party exclusivity - that’s a big deal.
Now, is it going to make me give up my Switch? No. No more than the GBA made me give up my Wonderswan or NGPC. There’s a market for both, they each have their advantages, and the market doesn’t have that much over an overlap. My console based pals aren’t interested in this or the Steam deck. My PC oriented gaming friend are getting one or both.
BG:DA2 won a lot of awards back in the day, and garnered some GOTY nominations. It really was the best console ARPG at the time. Different stories for each playable characters and each one was fun.
@VoodooTrumpet that’s because their publisher and WWE worked them to work to the bone, forcing them to do yearly games Madden style. The quality is going to drop when you don’t have time to fix bugs, work on the engine and everything else. It was so bad that Yukes OWNED New Japan Pro Wrestling at one point and didn’t even have time to make games for their actual wrestling company. The horror stories on this relationship are unreal.
With this, they are getting all the time in the world to make the game they want to make. Meanwhile WWE games have gotten solidly worse without them, showing it’s definitely the publisher (currently 2K) and WWE that are really driving the lack of quality in the games. Before that, the series was pretty much the only thing keeping the original THQ afloat for a while.
I’m not worried about the visuals as this was a one minute demo that is pre pre pre Alpha. If given the chance to go back to the TR4 gameplay for the Dreamcast or SvR2006, it will be light years ahead of any wwe game that has come out in the past decade.
So I own this game on Steam and 100%’d it. It’s really not erotic or Sexual. Its definitely for adults only, but it’s a horror game first and foremost. It’s just a lot of Penises everywhere almost to the point of being comical. I backed this and the sequel on Kickstarter. A better description would be “Lovecraft meets Warhammer’s Slaanesh in a FPS adventure game.”
It’s no different than Outlast, Remothered or Resident Evil being in the Switch store. It’s just got genitals instead of gore.

Re: 'Unlock The Cat', A Minimalist Block Puzzler, Slides Onto Switch This Week
I own this on PC. It’s a lot of fun and very relaxing. Also quite challenging at times.
Re: 'Unforeseen Incidents' Is A Dark, Hand-Drawn Puzzle Adventure Headed To Switch
I’ve had it on Steam for a couple of years and can heartily recommend it if you like Point and Click Adventure games. It’s quite fun.
Re: Garfield Joins Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl "Later This Month" On Switch
Personally I’d want Binky, especially if voiced by the original actor.
Re: The Point & Click Sale Discounts 10 Games On Switch
Gibbous is amazing. Especially for that price.
I’d get Sam and Max if I hadn’t ordered the physical from LRG.
Re: Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX Bundles Both Games On Switch, And It's Launching This Year
@somebread thanks! I was just coming to ask how that was going to work on the Switch. That was such a big part of the fun.

Re: 'All Aksys' Showcase Event To Feature At Least 7 Switch Games
@shock_trooper you can get a physical version in English from Play-Asia
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting A Switch OLED Or Valve Steam Deck?
@Moistnado I have one and it is awesome.
I have two Switches and got a deposit on the Steam Deck. They’ll all get a lot of use in our house.
Re: Talking Point: When Was The Last Time A Game Cracked Your Top Five?
Man. Of all time?
1) Guardian Heroes (Sega Saturn, 1996)
2) Valkyrie Profile (PSX, 1999)
3) Shining Force 2 (Sega Genesis, 1993)
4) Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (PSX, 2000)
5) Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal (GBC, 1999)
So it’s been a while.
