We've got the latest UK Charts for your curious eyes and its another strong week for Nintendo, with Splatoon 3 once again coming in at number one.
The sequel launched on September 9th to critical acclaim (including our own glowing review) and has clearly proven to be a smash hit with audiences. Over in Japan, it performed even better, becoming the fastest selling Switch game within just three days of its launch.
It marks another strong week for Nintendo, whose first-party titles make up five spots in the top ten charts, including evergreen games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo Switch Sports, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
On other platforms, Horizon Forbidden West is still performing remarkably well, no doubt in part due to the PlayStation 5 bundle that includes the console and a copy of the game itself. The Last of Us Part 1, meanwhile, is just about hanging in there at number ten, dropping six places from its previous position at number 4.
As for GTA V... Come on, who doesn't own that game yet?
Anyway, here are your charts for this week:
Have you bought any new games this week? Let us know in the comments!

I have had Splatoon 3 since the 10th bit have not played it yet. As I have missed placed my pro controller and was waiting on a new one.
Great to see, my son has it on his Christmas list
@Olliemar28
Great stuff to post this on a Bank Holiday in the UK, thank you!
Also... I find it kind of odd how Horizon is featured in these charts when it is part of a bundle. People are buying the console, and getting the game for free... does it really count as a sale of the actual game itself? If you get what I mean. Seems odd, somehow.
@Ooyah The game isn't free when bundled. The bundle costs as much as the game and console would cost separately or slightly less.
@BTB20
Oh yeah, right you are. Hmmmm. Still feels strange to me, not sure why. 😆
Yep first dip in the ink for me, loving it and can see why others are loving it too! Why didn't I get 1 and 2??????!!
GTA V is part of same tax scam or something.
Awesome to see Splatoon 3 do so well. Amazing game. Just a few too many communication errors still for now is all.
Yet another super strong week for Switch!
@LillianC14 imagine if GTAV was actually just to launder money
Buying GTA V is akin to buying weekly groceries at this point for UK gamers
Japan loves Splatoon 3 and Europe loves Splatoon 3. I sincerely hope North America gets the same reception.
@Ooyah So the UK chart count both physical and digital sales? Horizon was digital only via the bundle.
GTAV is a multiplatform title yet MK8 Deluxe is only on Switch and has been in the top 10 for 5 years pretty much.
It is the GTAV of racing games.
@Dr_Luigi Guess that count for code in a box game too then. I guess if it sell at retail it'll count as a physical release no matter what.
I guess people *were excited and *did want to play it. Who'd have thunk /s
@Ooyah Also... I find it kind of odd how Horizon is featured in these charts when it is part of a bundle. That also tells the rest us it's pretty worthless if it was that good it doesn't need bundles to sale it.
I can’t believe people are still buying GTA V I mean it seems as tho there are more copies out there than consoles seriously my local cex has a wall full
@Dr_Luigi Cheers and will do. And yes I think you are right, if I had played the other 2 I probably would be like you now with Splatoon 3 and possibly had tired of it? That said, maybe see you on there in the future?? Regards Splatman
@karatekid1612 Same!!
Welp so much for the “it’s only Japan” sentiment from last week
You must take in account that these are boxed only charts. They are becoming less and less relevant since more and more chose to buy digital. I havent bought a physical game on my PS5 disc edition.
@SwitchForce Yeah, Super Mario Bros and Mario World were both bundled with the systems they came out on, so they must have been garbage games, too. Do you even think before you troll? Come on man, needs more practice
@nimnio That's definitely true.
I prefer playing Youtubers Life 2 on my PS4 than Splatoon games.
