Tactics Ogre

Following on from Square Enix's official announcement that Tactics Ogre: Reborn will be coming to the Switch on November 11th, we have been doing everything that we can to get ourselves back in the world of the Super Famicom classic. Of course, this did not come as much of a surprise to us (thanks to a PS Deals leak spoiling the release a few weeks ago), but what has surprised us is the news that an English edition of the game's art book, The Art of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, will be coming on May 2nd next year.

As reported by Nintendo Everything, the 200-page book details all of the amazing art that went into the previous PSP game, combining initial sketches with fully-fledged character art, background designs, tarot card mock-ups and much more.

Check out some of the pages that you can expect to find in the book below:

Fans of a quality Nintendo coffee table book will be pleased to hear that the art collection comes in a case and jacket with gold stamping and dyed endpapers (move over, Hyrule Historia).

On top of all of this lovely art, the book will also contain exclusive interviews with a number of character designers and artists on the Super Famicom game (and PlayStation and PSP rereleases). Expect to read commentaries from Akihiko Yoshida, (known for his work on Vagrant Story and the Final Fantasy series) and Tsubasa Masao, whose illustrations you might recognise from Fire Emblem: Heroes.

The release of the art book will follow that of Tactics Ogre: Reborn in November, so you will have a good six months to fully immerse yourself in the newly-imagined world before seeing how it came to be.
