As we all wait for the re-release of GoldenEye 007 that may or may not happen (at this rate, we'll probably believe it when we see that sweet icon on our Switch home screens), you might want to check out a pretty awesome documentary on the making of the N64 classic from production company Altitude Films.
It's a solid feature length look at the creation and subsequent impact of GoldenEye 007 and we had a proper good time with it; you can read our full review for all the lowdown:

Now, it's been announced that the documentary has been acquired by the streaming giant Cinedigm, as revealed by Collider. The company is home to multiple platforms, including ScreamBox, The Film Detective, and Cineverse.
Cinedigm will be releasing Goldenera on digital and on demand on August 23rd. We're not certain on exactly which platform it'll be heading for, but our best guess would be Docurama, Cinedigm's dedicated platform for documentary movies and TV shows.
Chief Content Officer at Cinedigm Yolanda Macias provided the following short statement on the importance of a documentary like GoldenEra:
“Even two decades after its release, 'GoldenEye' still has a massive impact on modern-day gaming. There is so much for fans to love about this documentary. Whether you’re a fan of gaming, CONs, the '90s or James Bond, this film encapsulates that era so precisely and it brings on a nostalgia factor.”
Right now, you can check out GoldenEra directly through Altitude Films.
Have you watched GoldenEra yet? Do you plan to do so? Reckon we'll ever get that GoldenEye re-release? Let us know!

Interesting. Still waiting to see how to access it.
never heard of Cinedigm or any of the services listed that they own. Must not be too much of a 'giant'
It's been 22 years since me and 3 other friends got together sometimes to play goldeneye on n64.
"Streaming giant"
You sure about that?
You say it’s a streaming giant yet barely anyone here knows what it is. (Including me)
I'd imagine they also had very bad offers from some of the true giants (prime/ netflix) - Its probably more advantageous to monetize a video on Youtube than it would be strike a deal with Netflix-
Hopefully they got a decent deal that helped with production costs- I'm currently working on a series that will be released on PBS but we haven't worked out a deal with a streaming service yet- that will come down the road because PBS has a 2 year exclusivity with the exception of self release or youtube, so we will probably sell it via our website and then put it on one of the "giants" later. Point being, being on a giant probably isn't that great of a thing for the creators of the content.
Why would anyone watch this instead of the thousands of in-depth videos that have been made through out the years on this subject on Youtube?
I know Cinedigm distributes the DVDs and Blu-rays of Shout! Factory (a boutique distributor for anime and horror films, among other things), GKIDS (an arthouse animation distributor), Studio Ghibli, Hallmark Channel, and many more.
Altitude Films is a UK company that most famously dubbed Studio Ponoc's anime film Mary and the Witch's Flower, but they have lots of other films.

Who?
@HeeHo You might have heard of them if you are an anime fan in the US.
They distribute Shout! Factory's releases, including GKIDS, Studio Ghibli, Anime Limited and Eleven Arts titles.
