In case you missed it, Sol Cresta actually got a release on Switch earlier this year (after starting out life as an April Fool's joke). Since then, PlatinumGames has been issuing updates for this new shoot 'em up, and we're now up to the next major one (Version 1.0.4).
The Japanese publisher and developer has shared the full patch note details on its official website, with the promise the team will "continue to make improvements and further updates" in the future. This latest update makes some changes and adjustments, and also fixes a couple of issues:
Sol Cresta - Version 1.0.4 (July 1st, 2022):
An update for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Steam versions of SOL CRESTA was released on July 1st, 2022.
The version number for each platform is as follows.
Nintendo Switch: Ver. 1.0.4
PS4: Ver. 1.0.4
Steam: Ver. 1.0.2
*We will continue to make improvements with further updates.
Changes/Adjustments
Fixes
- Reduced the hit detection size of the Yamato with 2 or 3 ships combined.
- Increased the number of starting ships selectable in Options to 10.
- Added a scanline setting to Options. This setting can also be changed during gameplay.
- Significantly increased the score bonus for finding the hidden PT character.
- Fixed an issue in which the secret bonus for destroying an F Ball was not being properly awarded.
- Fixed an issue in which the stage 6 boss would disappear offscreen.

Nintendo direct leak????
I'll take Bayonetta 3 over dime a dozen games that look like they belong 25 years in the past thank you very much.
I’m a Nintendo fan but just because nintendo publishes a couple of their games does not mean they are a very good video game developer.
Someone still tinkering away at this one at platinum
@sixrings That's correct. It's not because Nintendo publishes some of their games, but because they made some of the most highly regarded videogames out there.
So i guess it was making very good videogames that made them a very good videogame developer
Hope this patch is on the upcoming LRG release
It's been a while since I've come across the last Sol Presta nonsense.
This one is on my wishlist awaiting a bargain basement sale
VIRTUOS: We're porting your game (Nier: Automata) to Nintendo Switch so how y'all doing?
PLATINUM GAMES: Fixing our game on Nintendo Switch (Sol Cresta).
VIRTUOS: Oh yeah so what's Nintendo doing?
PLATINUM GAMES: Releasing our game (Bayonetta 3) on Nintendo Switch.
VIRTUOS: Can't wait, when will it released?
PLATINUM GAMES: This year watch the next main Nintendo Direct for all the details.
VIRTUOS: Cool so what are y'all doing at Square Enix at the moment?
PLATINUM GAMES: Fixing our game (Babylon's Fall).
How about a permanent price cut? 20-25$ is the right price for this.
I was disappoint this wasn't included with the recent big sale. There are lots of top quality shmups - just not Sol. SADFACE
