With the death of Adobe Flash Player on 1st January 2021, many creators have gone to great lengths to preserve the projects they created over the years. If you were around at the peak of this era, then the name Newgrounds will be familiar to you, and I'm sure everyone has something they spent hours upon hours of mouse clicking and on.

One game that released on the site — and is still available there — is IndestructoTank!, an arcade-style game that lets you drive an indestructible tank. In this vehicle, you're safe from bombs; in fact, you can bounce off of them into the air and then maintain uptime by bouncing off of helicopters, planes, and other airborne modes of transport! Bouncing in the air gets you experience points, and once you've reached enough to level up, when you land all four wheels on the ground, you can upgrade your impenetrable tank and add more enemies for more hectic hopping!

The game was previously self-published by indie developer The-Exp Games following a successful Kickstarter campaign, and now this second publishing run by Incube8 will help get the flash game into more people's Game Boy's. If you don't have an original grey brick, you can also use the cartridge on your Game Boy Colour or GBA!

The physical game is due out sometime this month, as stated on Incube8's store — you can check out the listing here, but here's everything you get with the game:

  • Sealed box
  • Clear cartridge
  • Clear cartridge protector
  • Instruction booklet
  • Sticker sheet

You can also get hold of a digital version of the game, which includes:

  • Game ROM
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • PDF game manual
  • High-resolution cover art file

If you fancy some addictive arcade-style fun on your Game Boy, this is definitely worth keeping an eye on! The console has long been a hub for retro demakes and mods. Let us know what you think of this fan resurgence in Nintendo's beloved handheld below!
